In this tutorial, we look at the possible reason for RUclips having no sound. We won't insult your intelligence and assume you already checked that both your device and RUclips aren't muted and the volume is turned up.
RUclips is the most popular video streaming website. If you are here, it probably means that you do not hear sound or audio when playing RUclips videos. This is a very common problem faced by the RUclips users and is relatively easy to fix too. There are many reasons for this No Sound on RUclips problem and in this post today, we will discuss some possible reasons and the fixes for those reasons. Most of the time, restarting the device is the best option to fix these temporary issues.
The first thing to check is the volume settings of your device. Check and make sure that your device speakers are not muted or at the lowest volume setting. Also, check the configuration settings of your device speakers. Sometimes the Volume Mixer slider is at the lowest possible setting, and thus we don’t see a mute icon on the speaker. Sometimes the RUclips built-in voice controller are also muted or at lowest volume setting. Also ensure that the speaker icon in the browser tab which is playing the video is not muted.

The second reason for this error could be your web browser. Such error occurs when your browser is not updated to the latest version. So, if you are facing this no sound error, try updating your browser and check if the issue is resolved. You can also try playing that video in some other web browser to check if the problem is with your browser. If it is, then reseting or reinstalling the web browser is an option you may want to consider.

You have captions which would help if they weren’t so very fast that I can’t keep up with reading them while trying to see what you are pointing to in the background. I cannot hear anything, NOTHING, on You Tube and having trouble with everything on the phone now. Trying to keep up with speed reading and watch what you are showing at the same time is beyond FRUSTRATING

LoL.. I had manually muted my Chrome browser the other day and I had forgotten to unmute it. I quickly unmuted it by clicking on the sound icon in the system tray, then clicking on Mixer, scroll to where the Chrome icon is and click the sound icon of it again (it was on mute). Thanks for reminding me!
My solution weren't any of this but it did bring me closer to it, so thank you

Hello, i have a issue with my ASUS computer.
everytime I startup I get a random “Open File” on startup,
the programme name is a bunch of letters and numbers (it is .exe) the file is located in my windows file but its nowhere to be seen.
i have tried multiple anti-viruses however none seems to be detecting it. Any suggestion?
It seems that you accidentally set that file to open everytime
you power on, just like Microsoft Teams is Automatically Set to open. Everytime you power on your pc

It's a Joke. And Subtitles are gone now.
Selecting "Unmute" in a tab did the trick. Question: How could it have gotten muted in the first place? Is there a keyboard shortcut for that I might have accidentally pushed? In any case, thank you very much! I was about to give on help from the Internet as just about everywhere just says to check the (overly obvious) visible sound settings.

I just got a new laptop. I played RUclips vids and did not hear sound. In my case It’s weird that in Chrome, RUclips was not muted but I muted the site and then I unmuted the site again to “Reset” or “Recalibrate” the site. This worked for me. Thanks for sharing

Had no audio on youtube all day. Looked up how to fix no youtube audio. Watch this one. Halfway through realize the guy is speaking and that the audio is fixed. Don't know how you did it but I guess this video worked.

Right click on sound thingy on bottom and click open volume mixer, then setup your browser setting.

Thank you. I tried all the ways you provided in the video and I was able to fix the problem by going into System/sound then turned on 'Mono Audio' which combined the left and right audios into one. I assume the youtube video producing no sound on my computer plays only on Mono.

After making sure that there's no sound by switching to 2 videos, i googled and opened this video, just to see that sound issue got fixed. Miracle happened. XD

One way (IDK if he showed it bc I was trying to fix it by myself) Settings. Scroll down until you find "Advanced sound options. Your browser (Bing, RUclips Mircosoft, Chrome, etc) should have 0 next to the sound button Turn it up, and it should be fixed. Your welcome!

Yeah I’m already frustrated I never have sound on yt. This just irritated me more. Why would a video app have such an issue with audio controls
Got to the point where I clicked -"No, do not open audio enhancements" but then your popup windows were different to mine. Had to click on Settings/Troubleshooter/System/Sound/Volume Mixer then Reset the sound devices to default settings and that worked...
i clicked on the video and it fixed it, you are obviously a god with some sort of other worldly powers.

One can’t right click on iphone. This video is only for laptops. How to solve the problem for youtube videos on mobiles?

my youtube works while on the tab, but if I move to another tab, the audio is not heard. any clue why that happens please
I bought some new headphones and wired them up to my PC speakers. They worked fine with Spotify and videos on my PC, but when I went to watch a video on RUclips, the sound was pretty much silent but with very faint and strange sounds. I tried a few things to work out what was going on, then eventually tried flipping the wire end to end (I put the end that was in the headphones into the speakers and vice versa), then the sound started working correctly :D
idk whats causing it but only my yt videos are muted until i touch the audio slider of the video but then after a second or so they mute again

I cannot get sound sometimes and it has nothing to do with the mute/unmute button. I can get sound one time then half an hour later when I try to listen again, there is no sound.

Worked for me. My speaker icon (bottom right) was on for the usb headphones but muted for the speaker only while RUclips was open.
