I was lucky enough to get the real reissue before they started releasing these. At least half of my collection are KO's because Hasbro seemingly refuses to rerelease all of the original G1 line up except for Starscream, Blaster, Optimus, Hotrod and bumblebee, all released numerous times.

Just ordered the MP Bumblebee + Spike from Aliexpress. Have been thinking if I like, I'll start ordering combiners.

Cheers for the video and I'm glad I could help. Did you check out the "KNOCKOFF TRANSFORMERS THREAD" at the Allspark? I'm not sure if I can link it at RUclips, as RUclips seemingly randomly removes posts with URLs.
Anyway, I agree with the vernacular use of "KO" in the TF fandom. The Allspark page I've mentioned above had links to sites that explore this. If I've already mentioned this and you've replied in the comments at a different video, I'm sorry that I didn't read it, as I've turned off reply notifications due to the "ONSLAUGHT" (pun intended) of trolls and malicious messages.

I also agree with the idea of generic combat combiner teams using the Combaticon schematics. That's how I view the Walmart exclusives. I wish the KO CW versions did that (but they only did some primary coloured versions, I think?). I would love to get the CW version of in jungle, urban, tundra, dessert camo versions, possibly with some of the other CW molds mixed and matched in each of them to make each team slightly unique (such as a different Arielbot to replace Vortex/Blast-off, Rook to replace Swindle/Brawl, etc). On top of that, we could then mix and match figures to create various forms of temp. combat teams (say, all of the flying bots from each team?).
I wanted this with the Titans Returns toys too, with generic Autobot and Decepticon transtector bodies (in a range of basic, nondescript "army builder" colours) and generic (black with silver faces?) Titan/Primemaster bots that could be mixed and matched with the bodies to create new characters (without clashing colours) to create new characters. Each body would have a basic AI (with various physical abilities) while the head/power cube bots would provide psychological/mental abilities. Then, when we combine them, we get special names, with the minibot as the first name, with the AI bot designation (i.e., name) as the last name. MUCH more play value that way...

I haven't had a chance yet. Between toy reviews, the Governor Reacts over on Fandom Spotlite and prepping for the con this weekend, I just haven't had the time.

These sound the same as the originals as you're playing with them, do the rubsigns work? The originals were good quality but the latest encore after years of mold reuse were pretty suspect in QC. Be interesting to see comparisons to the original versions.

Well, the rubsigns don't seem to work. At least with the standard rubbing or holding your finger on them. But they look nice. 😀

Comparing this thing to my Universe Ruination figure, it’s honestly NOT far off.

They are the same mold, except for minor alterations to the weapons.

I mean what’s the difference between a KO and Counterfeit? Any KO would be “counterfeit” wouldn’t it? I feel like that’s splitting hairs but if anyone would care to educate me I would appreciate it.

I think a counterfeit is when the packaging and contents are indistinguishable from the original. I have knock offs that are clearly using the same mold, but different packaging and sometimes have modified faction symbols. While these counterfeits could be passed off as the real thing.

Was anyone else hoping it was an oversized ko as large as the thumbnail?

That would be nice. I have some oversized G2 Combaticons. Wish I had them all.
