Do you know any cheaper alternative for the butterball wheels?
I would say based off the ratings and specs that TMG Deck Big Boy Gels are not bad, but I have not personally tried them, tho they are $24 bucks so honestly being that they aren’t much cheaper I’d say go butterballs still
@@tpalmer Thanks, left a like and subbed
hope to see you again, thanks!
Yes ceep ur old wheels on it
1. Grip tape
2. Risers
3. Regular short board trucks
4. 72mm long board wheels
This setup has served me well for over a decade
Grip tape over the car painting noooo, good tips tho bro
hahaha. I am currently paying for that right now btw. that exact stop clear coat is coming off lol
This dude has evolved remember him 4years ago if I’m not mistaken I’ve seen you in South Africa 🇿🇦
Awesome video 🤟🏻 thank you
Nice!!! Cool stuff, man!
Glad you liked it! Anything that you would have changed for your own board?
Very well edited & shot, thank you Trent
Thanks mate! Much appreciated
Great advice my guyyy!
I love your work bench lol
I’m getting a penny for Christmas. I subbed to learn more :D
happy to have you here
Which size of wheels are u using bro?
I think I could actually ride this board
is that a longboard wheels strap unto a 22 inches pennyboard?
Hey Trent!! Great video..
By the way, how would you remove the hardware which you covered with grip tape???
you cant unless you make holes for the screws in the tape.
what size of white wheels 70mm.?
Im glad my comment was able to turn into a great and entertaining video
Glad you enjoyed it and yeah ! when I originally saw your comment I was like eh maybe but then I went back last week and saw it and here we are, so thanks for the help!
@@tpalmer np g
That's great idea. Thanks
Glad you liked it! What else would you have done to your board? Any cheaper or more easily replaceable add-ons?
@@tpalmer I'm thinking to drip some motor oil or lubricant to the bearing but haven't tried it yet. Not sure how it will going.
@@mkai8978 that could work but be careful with that since it could collect a lot more dirt and mess em up. Bottom line I’d say that you should just upgrade bearings for 20 bucks rather than buy motor oil. Not much difference and you know the upgrades were done right
@@tpalmer that's right. The dirt will it up. Better buy a new bearings.
yea bro, thanks for the idea though, hope to hear from you on the next video
Putting my 70mm krytonic greens on my Penny board.
for learning the penny should I add grip?
I’d say, it’s not 100% necessary but it was helpful. But that’s really up to you I think.
Do you have much experience riding or are you just beginning?
@@tpalmer Well, hard to explain I got a retrospec 27in one that warps a bit for me as well.. I weigh about 225lb so another question is should I shell more money for a penny brand one too? I been trying to learn but also had to lose weight before trying the penny. Been learning a longboard as well but have been slacking too
@@TheAlmighty hey, so yeah I’d say if weight is a thing you have to think about go with the nickel board if you really want that penny board style, but if not, then go with a cruiser, you’ll get the best of both worlds of a penny/longboard and I have a few videos with a few different recommendations on the channel if you wanna check those out!
@@tpalmer Actually mine is a nickel from retrospec it just have give in the center when I weighed closer to 240 and that was slightly alarming. Been slowly losing the weight so may give it a shot and see if the warping was as bad. When I went to Zumiez and tried Penny Australia Nickel board it was like 4x sturdier I felt it had no give… Probably was just me being cheap may try to resell my current one to buy one
Letsssss gooooooo yes
Bro. Best supporter right here. Always appreciate that consistency man. Hope your friends you mentioned start watching
@@tpalmer no prob dude, yea i hope they start watch your vids,Ayoo btw for next video can u do video about SPRAYING YOUR PENNYBOARD,just a friendly request though its okay if u dont want it
@@hidansenpai123 what do ya mean by spraying? Not sure I understand that one
@@tpalmer i mean spray painting your penny board
@@hidansenpai123 oh. Can’t do that, got a custom print on the deck. Gunna have to keep it that way
Where can I get some more wheels from???
anywhere, amazon, zumiez
doing all that work on the hood of your car, especially with the grip tape face down on the paint hurts my soul lol
hahahaha. the car is a tool for me. but yes I am paying for that one particularly if i'm honest.
..all of us.
Only mod you need is the cheapest 70mm or 72mm wheels put on.
Nana and Cadillac wheels are CHEAP and work fine.
When’s the next livestream 🙏🙏
Probably sometime soon this week, not quite sure but yeah
"WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE?", you ask at some point.
I'll tell you what your vehicle has - lots of horrible scratches done by grip tape to the car paint.
You ripped up my board :'(
Don’t know if this comment is entirely accurate for multiple reason lmaoo
@@tpalmer Ik it isn’t ya poohead
