So cool to see stuff done right in someones garage somewhere, so many people that just throw shit together, keep on buddy ! I just bought a 2020 rancher 420 on Wednesday and I’ve watched all your videos, about to do your PVC lift !
I know this was years ago.....but all I did to mine was put the 300ex jet and bowl on my 300 frtrx carb....works just fine. Gives it just a little more pep.
Thanks for the video man really helps out, what brand aftermarket carb did you use? Don't wanna end up getting some garbage carb that'll never tune right
@@MudPuppyOffroad there are plenty of OEM spec carburetors and rebuild kits that are aftermarket and much less expensive. Like anything else, it just takes homework.
Man I have a Honda 300 it’s snorkeled tight I have greese the spark plug I feel like I have done everything but sometimes when it’s under water it will bog down like it’s giving out of gas I’ll pull it out and it will crank right back up please get back with me and give me your thoughts
300ex jet and bowl will fit on the 300 frtrx.....no need for all the extra work unless you want the 300ex carb on your four wheeler....but just the jet and bowl swap does give it a little more power.
Just put a new oem 400 ex carb on my 300 idles great runs great wide open falls on its face everywhere in between or by hitting the gas quick tried the needle in every position on the stock jets. Looks like I got some more tuning to do
@@jasongodin7165 hundred percent wrong why do you think it is tapered genius the needle was regulates mid-range fuel flow along with the Venturi effect
@@jasongodin7165 I'm curious why you think you know what you're talkin about because you're so obviously wrong... what do you think regulates fuel throughout the mid-range can you answer that?

Been watching you for years since you were here in Charleston riding keep up the good content man love the reviews and how to videos
Where can I find a 400ex carb like that brand new OEM I wanna swap my Honda fourtrax 300
I’m gonna be running a 400 ex carb when I do 333cc bbk so this helps alot
I found a carb preowned not sure on the year but it doesn't have the brass cap from what i seen, where can i get one that i dont have to mess with?
Question when the throttle cable screws into the carb is it ideal to seal where it screws in ?
What piston would you’d recommend for rebuilding my top end on my Honda 300 4x4?? Stock bore right now.
Something OEM
Mud Puppy thanks buddy do they make oem oversized pistons or no? I’ve only ever used wiseco for my 450
I like the 317 rancher bbk

This is an OEM Honda carburetor I would never put an aftermarket carb about anything I own

Thinking about picking up some 32 Aztexs for my 300 with a 8” lift and 54% gr how do you think they will do in sand/mud/ water (busco beach)
You'll love them
Matt Sasser where’d you get your gear reduction from?
Tucker Dees jeremey lee
Can I put an older one straight in because I believe it’s from 1999-2008 not exactly sure ?
Still kinda thinking about it

I'd try a new coil/plug wire. Or wrap it in electrical tape
Did it make a noticeable difference in power like was there and more bottom end torque ?
Noticeable but not huge
Where do I find the parts to modify?
Did you find them if so where did you buy them
How could I get ahold of you, I have some questions about this conversion. I’m having trouble making the 400 carb fit in.
He has a Facebook q and a page
Lovexthis kinda content!
Were you able to use the fourtrax 300 throttle cable?
300ex cable
Is it stock bore?
Can you use a 350 Trx or will it fit, or is the 400 best? Thanks
Which TRX are you referring to The old school 350 or a rancher... I would not recommend a rancher it's not much of an upgrade
The old school 350 doesn't have an excavator pump so it's not great either
I was talking about the rancher, okay so the 400 is the way to go. I’ve found some OEM 300 carbs but $300
Is there any more power?
A bit
Is it worth doing on a foreman 450
Where can I get the 400ex for 100 some
What throttle cable is that because my 300 doesn’t have that one
250ex is best 400ex is shorter but works

You could try the dino jet needle
@@MudPuppyOffroad yeah I got it orderd waiting on it to show up hopefully that'll get it
Try a 130 main jet
2020
playing with needle clip is noob
Adjusting the needle height or running a different needle is the only way to properly tune this style carburetor.
