The ARP sheet for con rod bolts call for 25ftlb . You have the wrong sheet
Although I drive an r53 Surprised how well tight. Is this engine 🙂🙂🙂🙂
The R53 engine is a modified dodge neon engine from 2003
hows that, the first tritec engine used by bmw in the minis was back in 2001
.0015 is right in the middle of the required .001-.002????? and no lube on rod bearings????
How much do all these parts cost total? I’m interested in doing this myself since mine likes to drink oil
Nice work mate, what value did you use for your piston ring end gap?
I left them as OEM gaps...
so you reused the rings?
@@bluedunn374 Correct, I just reusded whatever was there.
It's funny in the haynes manual it shows that when mating the two blocks together not to put sealant up to the bearing caps and the front part of the engine oil pump chamber. This is clearly wrong and would cause the bearing caps not to seat properly and oil to leak behind the oil pump cover. Did you see that in the book 👍
Where should loctite be applied when mating these two pieces of block?
The oil pump cover has the oil pump in it. That whole area is bathed in oil. Putting sealant on that mating surface, which has oil on either side of it, makes no sense.
Can tell me all torques please
HELLO. WHERE DID YOU BUY ALL THOSE PARTS FOR MINI
RockAuto was the source... Easy to shop and Compare
Thank You very much Dude...
Is clocking the pistons the same as the R50?
Honestly, Im not sure
surprising how small the engine is
No doubt. I've rebuilt jetskis engines that were close to being bigger, at least until everything else was connected!
Hey! Where do you find the bolts pressure ?
Im same page
