Ridge and Rave Racer absolutely deserved this treatment from Arcade1up. Loved Ridge Racer and Rage Racer for the original Playstation, but always felt even they were a slight downgrade on the 60fps glorious arcade counterparts. Plus Rave Racer was totally arcade exclusive....Rage Racer on PS1 was an entirely different game, and almost an admission from Namco that they couldn't dream of porting high tech Rave Racer to the original Playstation 1 hardware. P.S i approve of the Bond villain-esque sinister turtle feeding at the beginning. Your haters don't want to end up swimming with them....

Hi brother quick question now you have had the ridge racer for a few months how are the peddles are they working properly and also are they starting to wear down why I am asking is because I am thinking about buying it just concerned over those gas peddles thanks buddy
the pedals are holding up surprisingly well. Although I will only play barefoot, not with shoes... I had to make a tightening adjustment on the stick shift because it got very loose with hard use. That required pulling the control deck off and getting underneath it. Other than that , she's working great.
Ridge Racer is a great addition to the arcade collection! The wheel looks sturdy and well built and this cab will provide plenty of entertainment. Overall the cabinet looks fun but as you pointed out I would be slightly worried about the foot petals possibly getting damaged. Great review!

With the turtles; I have 2 floating docks that suction cup to the glass above the water line, and I use a Mercury bulb which emits heat and UVA/UVB rays. 😁. Iguanas are beautiful, I never had one, my cousin had one back in the 80's 90's, they were very popular back then, before the Bearded Dragon arrived.

I love this cab as well; ordered separate amp and speakers from amazon; all should be arriving this friday....this game needs that sound boost. I have good speaker rt now and the thing rocks; i can't go back to default speakers. I just can't!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@one_point21_gigawatts lol all it takes is money...like 14 bucks for the amp and 90 dollars for the speakers; they are modified car audio speakers, to be mounted to the inside of the machine...hoping it will vastly improve the sound. I currently have my "gems" as a temp, and truly, once you get premium sound, you can NOT go back.
The only complaint I have is the stick shift is on the right, not on the left like how I remembered. I hope Arcade1Up pumps out a Rave Racer cabinet that has the same games as this one, but with a left-handed stick shift.

Theres a game I cant remember the name of and I hope you can help me,Ive scowered the internet and youtube but cant find it.Its a racing game like this.It uses cards you take with you ,you slide back in the machine when you play cause it saves your progress.It had a 3000GT in the game, Ive seen similar racing games that lets you use these cards but I cant find one with the 3000GT
Have you ever played ridge racer before ….. you do know its a drifting game …..no need to down shift so much ….. let off the gas tap the brake and drift .. in the middle of your drift downshift one gear then shift up …. You will get a-lot better time …. Nice review

I think ur tank is all wrong . Turtle tank should only be half full and there should be a rock there so the turtle can come up on land . Remember turtles can’t breathe under water . They have to keep coming up for air .

I mentioned in the review that they should of been made a lil stronger, and hope there is an aftermarket model. they are definitely flimsy and if teens are gonna play on it; use caution they'll be the ones to break it lol.
Hey Joe, great review bud. I got mine a few weeks back and drove myself crazy trying to fix the audio. Even plugged in an amp with external speakers and it still sounded flat. Ive been taking care of turtles for 35 years. These are powerful swimming turtles and there's 2 square feet of a floating island above the water line.
