Manson Gibson Vs. Caesar Takeshi Shoot Boxing May 26, 1989 | Tokyo, Japan (Korakuen Hall) Contest for Takeshi's Shoot Boxing World Hawkweight Championship.
Why have I never heard of Mr. Gibson? Some of the best kicking technique I've ever seen, & with both legs. Total mis-match though. Mr. Takeshi just a human punching bag.
Better late than never! Gibson really is one-of-a-kind, but if you enjoy his flashy and unorthodox style, I recommend you also check out Raymond Daniels and Genki Sudo. Takeshi was actually a pretty solid fighter, as well as the president of the company that promoted this fight, but he wasn't the first boxer who Manson surprised. I have no evidence this actually happened, but I wouldn't be surprised if Takeshi hammed it up to help convince this exciting American to compete for his federation more often.
Manson Gibson is legendary!
Gibson is no man - he's a tornado with fists and feet.
Manson had amazing spin kicks. Wow!
