10w-30 in colder climate? that doesn't make sense.

You are right, thank you for the call out--and appreciate that you watched so far to catch it. I totally misread above 0 deg F in the service information as cold weather when, to your point, it actually means warm weather. I blame editing videos at night and living in California (no cold weather) for processing that information incorrectly. I'm going to pin your comment so others see it. I'll also edit the description to correct my mistake in the video. Thank you again for taking the time to comment!

I recommend you pre-fill the new oil filter with oil before installation to avoid the start of the engine waiting for the filter to fill before oil pressure is distributed engine wide.

Yes, good advice. There's always one thing I forget to mention and this was it for this video. Thanks for watching and catching that.

That's the one good part about California and our cars, there is very little rust to deal with! Thanks for watching.

Do you have a newer Tacoma like a 3rd gen? My friends over at www.youtube.com/@teamoildrop have a guide for everything 3rd Gen. Check them out (and let them know I sent you)! Or if you have another Toyota, I have three generations of Highlander Oil Change guides and other cars as well. ruclips.net/video/A2GHyf2xVZg/видео.html
