I mentioned earlier in one of your videos that I’m so tired of hoping for better gameplay around entertainment careers because, years ago, they teased the idea in a survey, but it’s been ignored ever since. Right now, we only have the acting career, and it’s not enough. A refresh could fit perfectly for "Get Famous" as an example expanding Del Sol Valley with an area dedicated for concerts or even a game pack with new instruments, adding a neighborhood dedicated to music festivals like Coachella, Glastonbury, Rock in Rio, etc. They could add features like a recording studios, and integrated gameplay around concerts and albums. Something like BitLife’s Singer pack, with record labels, charts, sold-out shows, worldwide tours, fans, and fame, would be ideal.
Regardless of if they are hints or not I feel like we'll eventually get a bands pack at somepoint. It's one feature that I feel like alongside hobbies is most requested. Though weather or not is should be an expansion pack remains to be seen. Maybe they can find a way to incorpate the singing skill with bands for that pack. And maybe making records could invovle the music make that you get in get famous.

@ A bands pack needs a world so that there’s concert venues and band households ready to play with when you start the game. Lovestruck didn’t “need” a world (though it still helped because that pack was so lacking), but bands definitely do.
Personally I’m definitely team “I want a bands pack” but you know what I would love to see integrated into it? The type of feature they added with get famous and the mixing table (or whatever it was called) where you can add or remove different layers to the songs and customize them. I really enjoy that feature to this day and I feel like it helped make the limited number of songs we got feel more varied since you could produce the same song multiple times and just change what layers are added or removed to make them all sound unique. I would love to see that as a feature when it comes to making albums or songs.
You didn’t seem to mention it but ive also seen from other players that theres a small sign for the Sims Sessions hidden in the outskirts of Ravewood! So bands (or something music related) COULD be possible!
I remember when they did The Sims sessions, I thought that was a hint for some type of Showtime pack but I really hope this time they actually do it because it's literally the only thing I want for Sims 4
Railroad pack? Hello do you remember that world in Urbz that was in the subway? That world was sick and one of my favorite places to live. Also, that vibe would fit into a band theme well.
What difference does it make if one (1) youtuber remembers or forgets about it? He doesn't control what goes into any of the packs, and if a bands pack IS already being hinted at then it's probably too far along in development for any social media buzz to influence its content.
I don't think EA gave us cottage living a year later because of the backlash. Considering they are planning packs well in advance. They certainly knew people wanted farming from the start and chances are pretty high they already had that planned. Same for bands, really. They know people want bands, because people have been asking about them for a while too. Chances are they are already somewhere in the pipeline if they are planning to release them.
I wonder if Layne was not just a joke name, but the idea came from the late great, Layne Staley of Alice In Chains. Only because of the name, and he was a musician. 😅
6:54 I wouldn’t care about managing a railroad. I would however love the clothes and build stuff that would come with it and if it had an actual ability to lay tracks and travel I would love that, too.

Pretty sure we'll get a bands/superstar pack next year. They love to hop on trends and usually take about 2 years to get their packs out (e.g The Wednesday dance). And The Eras Tour started 2 years ago, so I doubt they would wanna waste the potential of concerts in The Sims, very heavily based on the Taylor phenomenon

Fans have been asking EA for years for a music-themed expansion where we could create our own music idols-singers, bands, different instruments, concert tours, music competitions, custom concert stages, and so on. How are we supposed to create our idols? The music career in The Sims 4 base game just isn't enough! One of the things I miss most from Sims 3 was the ability to play music together. My main sim started as a teenager and he and his girlfriend would busk together, he on keyboard and she on guitar, to make a few pennies. Surely it wouldn't be that hard to implement this in Sims 4??
I’m waiting patiently for bands still 😭along with hotels, more sports and hobbies like ballet, and multifunctional lots. After For Rent, Lovestruck and Life and Death the game feels more complete to me, but I have faith we’ll still get band content. They could’ve added it to HS years and didn’t, I assume cause we’ll get it separately someday
6:12 there is no possible chance in July of 2020 when Eco Lifestyle came out they were not already into the design & probably even full development of Cottage Living. There is zero chance that pack was created on crunch over fan outage in less than 1 year. Especially with as few bugs as it had on launch. If anything Cottage Living was likely delayed in 2020 due to bugs with the animals & Eco Lifestyle was slotted into the release window because they had to make quarterly reports & not lose cadence.
I also want them to bring back the sims session festival thing they had a few years ago where you can go to in-game comcerts, that would be nice as well as being able to create your own stage. I think we could get them next year as they are highly requested, like fairies, hotels/resorts, hobbies, and preteens.
I think the reason the items are just in the inventory is because he's level 10 of the Entertainer career. They are just given to him by that, not some choice by anyone at EA.
This has happened before in the game. Premade sims which have had their career levels manually set have the career reward items in their household inventory. I would love to have more instruments and have sims play together and have the music career overhauled in the sims 4. I would love to see music have it's own university degree rather than be lumped in with painting! Also an overhaul of the career so that there are different types of career within music. This would be a hard pack for them to make though because of the huge amount of extra music they have to make and record for new instruments and for bands to play together. I remember desperately wanting the violin from the sims 3 store and wondering why it cost so much money for one item. It's because of all the music they have to create, record and copyright for it!
I don't see why we couldn't get a band pack that incorporates singing with playing musical instruments. If enough simmers clamor for it I don't see why E.A. try to make it. We had that stage concert event a few summers ago in the game with RL artists made into Sims and performing for our Sims. I think the stage object can be found somewhere in Debug still. Thanks for the tip about being able to play the guitar and singing at the same time. I'll have to figure out how that works in game.
In Sims 2 you could play together with multiple instruments syncing up to form a song, couldn't we? I seem to remember setting up drums and base in the backyard of the Calientes and then Nina got struck by a sattelite ..
You said it couldn't be a hint about bands in the trailer because in the game we can already play guitar, but there's one detail, the girl plays guitar in the trailer on a stage complete with lights and a certain audience watching her, I don't think we can yet do this in the sims 4, so yes I think it could be a band pack tease!

He literally said a whole EP should go in depth with that and let us choose whether going solo or forming a band

I hope they continue adding Classic prezados to new packs, like the Specters. Maybe they could add Lolla Belle to sims 4 in a bands pack.
