The soft reset issues explain why it wasn't available on retail. Never could figure out why, fun to have that explanation!

I’m glad to see these kinds of videos on my recommendations. When seeing this, I’m glad there are some people inspired from DarkViperAU’s Facts and Glitches series and incorporating into other games, especially since I really enjoy the Kingdom Hearts series!

This was such an interesting video! I had no idea about any of these glitches or fun facts at all, tbh i thought Kh2 was one of those very very rare games where the coding was done so well that theres almost nothing buggy about it

as a hardcore kh fan, this video was great, actually had a ton of things i had no idea of. id love for more if you have more interesting stuff. i think something nice to mention in another video would be how you can level up valor form with some reaction commands, but not others. theres some weird ones like more famously mcp's rc, but for example cyclone and bat cry dont increase it i think. oh and the infinite jump exploit with going into drives to refresh aerial dodge (a bit more known but still cool).
Valor levelling with some Reaction Commands is probably something worth highlighting, may not be feature in the next episode, but one for the future. Thanks for the suggestion!

Scripting, reproducing, recording and narrating is a time-consuming process, that's potentially a reason why videos like this (especially for KH) are quite uncommon. But KH2 is an amazing game, so I want as many people as possible to know all the jank you can do in it!

DarkViperAU and Pinsplash were direct inspirations for the series. I'm also an editor for DarkViperAU, so I've naturally leaned towards his style as time has gone on.
Literally only 2 minutes into this video. Thank you for not repeating what is now (at least to the fanbase) common knowledge. It really gets on my nerves when I see videos that are nearly identical to each other because they spew the same exact stuff.

Partly what inspired me to create the series, was sick of hearing how Buzz and Woody were cut, meetings in a lift and KH1 HB was in a trailer.

Thanks for the sub! To clarify, the second bug is not exclusive to any remaster. It can be recreated on all versions of KH2 with video proof existing for at least the original KH2 English release.
This is interesting! I knew almost none of these facts haha. There’s some instances of no music playing at random times in the original PS2 releases, but it’s much more infrequent lol

playing with KH2 rando made me really adore the "Roxas Wavedash" as I took to calling the quick run he does
It's probably just because Roxas is (I imagine) a funky hacked-together Sora object, but I still can't help but wonder if some consideration was made for him to be slightly more playable. The fact that he gets a unique dual keyblade moveset just for Axel 2 makes me wonder. (at least, I don't think it's just boneless Valor)
Also even if it's only the tiniest of oddities it's kind of a shame we're unlikely to ever get our hands on the actual software version of the cloud games on switch, just to pick them apart. Realistically it's likely just a slightly early port of the EGS build, but still.
I assume there's probably not much but i can't help but wonder what else is in the kiosk demo files. Like yeah it's just more of KH2 if anything but it is curious.

Yes, the soft reset mod does suffer from an audio dropping issue. However, I don't think you can soft reset on the main menu, so you can't ever create the multi layered music bug.

I imagine the soft reset wasn't ever intended as a cut feature outside the demo. It was meant to return to title screen in case one wanted to play the other map.

What is it with this game and audio bugs?
It's sad because there were little to no audio bugs in the original. Then the ports happened... although I'll give Square a pass for the bugs on the soft reset since they didn't release it.

Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2 + Start + Select at the same time. Nice Lightning pp btw, XIII is overhated.

in case you are gonna make one for KH1 i got something for ya, when you first land in traverse town after destiny islands you can jump on the sliding roof and jump onto the roof of the accessory shop, there you can bypass an invisible wall. If you leave the first district without activating the trigger the game is softlocked in traverse town. It wont be possible to leave or progress the game at all. I first discovered this on the PS4 version and it exist in every version since
KH1 would 100% be a really interesting series, but I don't have any intention making that as of right now because my experience with that game is nothing in comparison to KH2. Sorry!

@Zinkolo At the time of the video's release, the version I referenced was correct. The Steam version or the Epic update had not arrived yet. Regardless, I also state the 'Epic version', which has nothing to do with the Steam version.
… the soft reset is in the PlayStation version of the 1.5 + 2.5 collection. You can do it on any of the games in the collection
Wrong. You can soft reset all the other games in the collection, but you cannot soft reset in KH2.
KH franchise genuinely built for ps2. The charm fades on other consoles.
I personally feel the art style transitioned really well to PS4/Xbox One with KH3.
These are glitches to the HD ports. Not PS2
9/12 of the facts and glitches I showed in this video can be performed on the PS2 version. I chose to record using the PC version because it looks better and mods to disable the music.
