  • I can't bake but I CAN MAKE A CHEESECAKE! Classic vanilla cheesecake is my all time favorite dessert, it was also my father's favorite but with cherry topping. My husband on the other hand loves his with a blueberry compote and most recently, dulce de leche, which we've started making in the slow cooker. I have to say, this cheesecake is taken up a notch with ddl drizzled on top--bonus video on how to make at the end! Enjoy!!

    INGREDIENTS (using 2 mini springform pans)
    3/4 cups biscoff or graham crackers, crushed
    1 tablespoon + sliver of unsalted butter, melted
    1 package cream cheese at room temperature
    1/4 cup + 1 teaspoon sugar
    1/4 cup sour cream
    1/2 teaspoon vanilla
    1/4 teaspoon lemon
    1 egg
    BAKING: 350 degrees fahrenheit
    Crust: 5 minutes
    Cheesecake: 19-20 minutes (edges should be firm, center will slightly jiggle)
    COOLING
    Allow baked cheesecake to rest for 30 minutes on the counter before moving to the refrigerator. Place a small napkin on top of each cheesecake to prevent condensation. Chill for a minimum of 4 hours. I find the best setting results are overnight.
    STORING
    You can make these ahead of time and store in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
    DULCE DE LECHE
    1. Place sealed can of sweetened condense milk in slow cooker.
    2. Cover with hot water.
    3. Turn slow cooker on low; cook for 8 hours.
    ALLOW CANS TO COOL TO ROOM TEMPERATURE BEFORE OPENING
    Store dulce de leche in a glass jar with a tight fitting lid in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks.

    I don’t eat dairy but you’ve got me wanting to RISK IT ALL!!!!! 🤤💀😂Would this even work/taste the same with non dairy cream cheese & sour cream?
