- You don’t need to create a sitemap in Shopify, because it’s automatically generated.
You can check it by going to your browser. So I will show you how to submit your shopify sitemap to Google Search console.

quick question! which is better for Shopify - Domain or URL prefix ?
Just in general, I think domain is better for most people :) So it doesn't matter if you use shopify or anything else.
Unless you are using shopify's free domain name, then you can try URL prefix, but I'm not sure if that will work.

Hello, I dont know if you still respond to these but all of my sitemaps say "couldn't fetch" is this normal?
there used to be a bug that it shows that, but then it actually worked. If it doesn't go away within few days then it's probably an issue. These articles might help you troubleshoot it:

I create a Shopify store and connect with the domain but still store is password protected I want to verify the Shopify store with google search console and put the HTML tag code in our Shopify store but it generates an error and does not verify kindly help me with this issue thanks in advance.
you can remove the password protection in the preferences (left menu)

yeah, Google can't reach your website if there is a password. And to remove password you need to get a shopify plan

It might be just a bug. You can see if Google indexed your site by googling site:yourdomain.com
If you see your website your website is indexed and probably the sitemap too.
