    Never have I ever had the pleasure of working with such a sophisticated trimmer. I honestly had no idea it had this feature so the first few times I was manually spooling the line every time I had to replace it. This is THE coolest feature a trimmer can have. My wife and I both agree we are never going back to other products after experiencing EGO machines. Thank you EGO for these brilliant machines and thank you Mr. Video Man for this video.

    This doesn't seem to work - it just unravels once started. I've tried winding the cord in both directions in case I stuffed up. But no luck. What have I missed?

      A sentiment I have at almost every encounter. It amazes me to see some commentators with their vitriolic attack on a video. Never do they take stock of the fact that the video was never imposed upon them AND it's FREE. Now, yes, if it's just clickbait and it is poorly done and loose with the facts, yes, it may deserve criticism. But the material put out my ordinary folks--some with extraordinary talent and dedication deserves only praise.

    This is just like any other trimmer. Unfortunately my trimmer doesn’t have the removable spool and this method won’t work. This is strike two, some the last video referred to a winding button which is also absent from my ego trimmer. Suggestions?

  • @ericapallaron3379
    @ericapallaron3379 5 лет назад +5

    This is how I normally replace on my other trimmers, but it doesn't work on this spool and I buy the EGO trimmer line. As soon as I bump the trimmer to give me more line, it all unravels and causes a mess and has hit my ankles more than once. So ,what am I left with - buying the spool accessory which is $10 - crazy

    Is there any accessory available to make it power wind, or are there blade type replacements? Love my ego trimmer but the bump feed is hit or miss.

    • @bikeguy3034
      @bikeguy3034 2 года назад +1

      Sharpen the cutting blade with a file, and just give small bumps on a hard surface such as concrete while at full speed. Buying a good quality tough 2.0mm line such as Sufix Duo Square will also make a huge difference. Barely need to bump mine at all even after hitting steel/concrete etc, and only takes one small bump now and then to get back to length.

      I don't really understand what that means, but if you are implying that they present no physical challenge, I beg to differ. It is next to impossible for me to remove the cap on my trimmer. It has the mechanism where you are to press into two side tabs while simultaneously lifting up. I have a bit of arthritis. It is next to an impossible goal for me. I think I'll get a new trimmer. It shouldn't be this hard.

    Is there a upgrade for this head? Ive got this style on my new 1304e trimmer and would like AH1500 style reload. Thoughts?

  • @elijahpbender

    What am I doing wrong. I've threaded as shown in the video but when I go to weed eat the string comes out at an alarming rate without me touching the bumper to make it spit out more string.

  • @brandonstaley1289
    @brandonstaley1289 Год назад +2

    This style head is absolutely awful. The fact that you have to literally take the head/cap off everytime to reload is ridiculous.
    The rapid reload head or the newest powerload is lightyears better.

    This is the stupidest design ever. Every 2 mins I have to stop and rewind or unjam the spool string. It's driving me nuts. There must be a better head replacement for this. I'm over it. Hooking over and winding over, the string doesn't stay, the hook comes off, it's beyond frustrating.

    Fuck this.
    I have the latest model with the power head
    Feed in a few metres of wire and push the button.
    Done. Dont even have to pull the head apart.
