This, among other reasons, is why you are such an inspiration!! You are real, you show failures along with successes, ideas that were good at the time but didn't pan out, plants you just put in the ground that you already have to move... we've all been there, but having someone like you acknowledge the same issues we have, shows us all that no garden is perfect. It's always a work in progress! Thanks💙

I recently planted a 'Sweet Tea' heucherella (to replace two that didn't make it from last season) knowing it's probably dead due to lack of water.

There was a woman there who was putting a new garden together and she said something like "You look like you have things well in hand." I said, "I watch Laura @GardenAnswer so I know everything!" For example, visit all your hydrangeas in one video, and all your roses in another. I love seeing how the different varieties compare. Love your channel - you are so inspiring!

Very satisfying to take care of a spot where your plants aren't thriving. I'm so thankful not to have the soil issue that you're combatting, but then I can't dig a hole in the clay without being on my hands and knees using the claw side of a hammer. Always trade offs :) And how I love hydrangeas. I have so many in my zone 7B gardens, maybe 50, and they never ever disappoint! Keep the hydrangeas coming!!! Love that particular garden of your property.

So it’s nice to see that even the best gardeners have plants that don’t thrive. That really shows us what the mindset of any gardener (and really anybody) should be. If something doesn’t work, figure out why and what could be done differently and try again. Your videos are always refreshing and encouraging!

I bought the limetta’s and made a small hedge 2 years ago. You are so right, because half are glorious, and the other half are half the size and just surviving not thriving. Same lightings, planted same day. We had a ice storm here in Oregon this past winter and a tree landed on one, so I’ve had to replace one.

Laura, yes, learning from you that there are still fails even after years of gardening is liberating as my wife and I continue to learn about flower and vegetable gardening in Zone 6A (Crestwood, KY). What you have also taught us is that gardening is definitely not a 'one and done' type of thing but rather throughout the season you can be adding/moving/changing plants as the weather changes. My wife was convinced she didn't have room to add a 'thriller' to a pot around our pool and I showed her a video of you planting some pots and she quickly saw that our pot could handle another plant or two! Thanks for all you do for the gardening community across the country!

It looks beautiful and I love hydrangea. There are so many variables in a garden. This year I noticed such a difference with early extreme heat waves and many seedling plants didn't make it.

For someone newer to your channel like me, I love this kind of video because I’m in the planning phase of my own gardens and I appreciate watching you amend soil and build up new beds!! Excited to see how these do long term!!

So true- same plants perform differently in my garden as well. It’s taken awhile to figure out what works where, but that’s the fun of gardening!

Laura I live my life vicariously through you!🤣 I live on the Texas gulf coast where it is nothing but Hot and the humidity is crazy so very few things work here... you are a breathe of fresh air!

It was an encouragement! Good luck with the new ones. It was nice having you tell the spacing as well because I never feel like I can tell on camera how far you are spacing things and it's something I try to take note of.

The Little Lime Punch hydrangeas should look absolutely beautiful in that area Laura. When they bloom they will really be a punch of color there.

Great show! Like it when you show us problem areas and ideas on how to solve. One of my favorite things about your show is your ability to describe your thought process for the work you do gardening. I can relate. Thanks Laura!
