My tube amp has a humming noise in the back ground when I'm talking on it some can hear it some says they can't so I don't know....But I like tube amps
Could be a cap, or the transformer
I toasted my 2x8 with a rci2980 it was a sad day lol
It can happen to all of us ! Some amps are easier to overdrive than others
