That's a good sign they are improving things. Not having export here I'm dumping my extra solar into the A/C.

Long time coming. I'm afraid they've lost a lot of their steam pushing the product so early. I do think the hardware is good but as Mr. Prouse says the software is what kills these inverters on usability. And documentation. Documentation is hard, especially across language barriers!

I will put in a good word for Megarevo. They really helped me out today putting me in contact with Portugal office to source a wifi logger (4 pin).
The manual was hard as it's really basic but i worked it out in a few hours.
Worst thing i did after hanging it was forget the PV breaker was off. 😂

Ha ha I left the RSD button in when I first set mine up and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working! Glad you had a great experience!

Mr Beene are there any setting changes to make on a Megarevo to stop charging halt when one battery reaches 100%? I have 3 UFO 48v 200ah batteries. They are close but over a few weeks drift out by 13% or so. I have flipped the breaker on the most charged battery at 99% and this works but is there a setting on the inverter to prevent the stop charge?

    • @BeeneEnergy

You using closed loop communication and doc for charging? Or voltage?

    • @cainweber1978

@@BeeneEnergy connected to the address 1 battery with CAN connection. Charge voltage 54v I think auto set.
All batteries rs485 connected to each other.
In charge mode 6KL1 shows charge on most charged battery and on discharge (say at night) shows most depleted battery.

      @@BeeneEnergy hi mate
My packs are only 15 cells 3.2V nominal. They rest after full charge no loads at around 3380mV.
Would this Lead Acid setting be OK for 90-95% SOC?
      Absorb 54V
      Float V 51V
      Bat end 48.3V
Aim is to not rag the batteries as I have 30kWh available to run a pond and charge wife's car 10kWh once a day.
      Cheers

I was wondering if you ever had any issues with your powmr charge controllers when a cloud passes over? About once a day a cloud can pass over and my 100 powmr will do this thing where the fans start ramping up and down erratically. Only way to get it to do right is completely disconnect solar and battery then hook it back up and it works. the rest the day with no issues. My other powmr is a 3000 watt all in one and the charge controller on it will be working correctly then q cloud passes over and it will suddenly barely be charging and be stuck like that till i completely unhook it and then hook it all back up. So yeah i was wondering if ypu ever had those kinda problems with yours? Seems if i over panel them at all then it makes the problem much worse. I just ordered a 150-70 victron so hopefully it will work right for me. And bro i lile your videos. You have taught me alot and helped me with confidence in building my system

Has someone made a video on how to configure MRs in parallel? (Or have a menu "recipe"? ) Keep getting parallel enable fail error...

    • @BeeneEnergy
      @BeeneEnergy  2 месяца назад

Error handling on these things is inherently bad. For parallel you are supposed to have all settings exactly the same and both units on the same firmware. Then go into the parallel settings and when you set one to the primary it will have more parallel options then the other. There is a setting in there that says how many total inverters there are in the group (this will be set to the same number on both units) then there is an address that you assign to each inverter. This one will be different for each inverter. Hope that helps, not as good as a video but it's something!

    I have 2 Megarevo inverters.
I have it split into two separate systems 14 Trina panels 550 about 480v on each inverter working good feeding 60 to 80kw a day.
Would like to get your input on my system.

I see you're using Solar Assistant. Did you make a video how you removed the 4 pin rs485 connection and build a 5v usb etc? Atm this is beyond my ability without a how to video.

    • @BeeneEnergy
      @BeeneEnergy  Год назад

No! I've been trying to find the 4 pin connector so I can make a megarevo to solar assistant adapter but haven't found it yet. Just using some wire stuck up in the pins for right now. Very janky.

@@BeeneEnergy other thing I was going to try were red ferrules and crimp to the rs485 pins. Shame they used such a wierd connection. Solis make these wifi connections but apparently dont work with Megarevo.

My 6KL1 off grid has been totally solid for 12 days. I'm a total novice. No issues. To go on grid the manual is too basic imo. No issues with CAN port to Li battery.

I contacted Megarevo looking to buy them straight from the manufacture. They quoted:
    R12KLNA 12kw Split Inverter:
    Price: $2222
    WIFI for inverter:$30
Door to door freight cost: $702
    Total amount:$2222+$30+$702=$2954
    R16KLNA 16kw Split Inverter:
    Price: $2583
    WIFI for inverter:$30
Door to door freight cost: $702
    Total amount:$2583+$30+$702=$3315
They also carry a 14 kw unit but did not get quotes for it. I have been comparing to the EG4 18pv. Megarevo gives a 5 year warranty compared to 10 with EG4. Do you guys think its a good idea to go for Megarevo 16KW?
