You are truly gifted! Your command of the keyboard is impressive! I have the system 8, MX-1, JDXA and I LOVE THEM! I feel so smart realizing that I am NOT one of those who dismissed the System 8. And the JDXA is capable of some truly over the top sounds just using the 4 analog voices. The VT-4 is so effortless! Thanks for your demonstrations
Great demo, thank you! I would really love to hear more about how the 1998 MC-505 still has relevant appeal to today's setups! Such an underestimated device as products begin to resurface.
and man thats pretty damn good, i love the underlying loop, kind of sounds lo fi sci fi nostaglicish somehow, its indescribable but incredible at the same time tbh
Man that is dope! Thanks for the inspiration. Can you demo how you created that patch between the System 8 and VT-4 . Hell I would buy it for a reasonable price. I love your sound man. Respects from Austin, Texas! Now off to buy my System 8 today! Thank you Hazmat!
How exactly is the VT-4 hooked up through this gear? I'm having issues figuring out how to properly hook up my VT-4 to either one of my Korg synths to use the keys as I sing through the VT-4. Either I'm being a total dummy and missing something or the synths I own (Kingkorg and micro korg) aren't suited for the job. I've noticed all the demos I've seen for the VT-4 are done pretty much exclusively with the System 8. And its hookups aren't really any different than my current synths. Would really love some tips/clarification to know where I'm going wrong here.
@Dino Jabroni I finally did recently and I'm still missing something somehow. I used a midi and then plugged the mic directly into the VT-4. Then set a dial on the micro korg to midi. Still nothing. Then tried using one of the RCA cables to plug into a dynamic out and got some sound, but not from the VT-4. I feel like an idiot not sure what I'm missing here.
@Dino Jabroni I'm all about going dawless. I've made the VT-4 work with just the mic without midi controller. It's really hard to find anyone who has a tutorial on how they've got it hooked up via midi/keyboard.
@Dino Jabroni yeah I have everything set up the way I play my live set. I just have yet to be able to incorporate the VT-4. Thanks so much for the replies, cheers!

@@punishedsquid2397 Mic into the vt, vt to a mixer, midi out from a keyboard to midi in of the vt. That should work.
My bro! 👍
This dude!
I did some kooky routings with my vt3 for midi keys to run pitch like that... But my Iron Lung vocoder is my go to now with the vt3 on my mic.
Talk box sounds super nice, that System 8 price though, yikes lol. Guess I’ll have to look for a cheaper solution for my talk box fetish.
A straight dry unprocessed sawtooth sounds pretty good through a talk box. Pretty much any synth can do it.
How do you set the up the Talk box patch????
Did you figure it out ? I wanna know too.
Do i spot a rk-004?
The best Synthesizer was the CMI FAIRLIGHT V powered by a MC6809 processor don't know if they moved to the MC68040 or not.
They did a V? No love for the Synclavier or the PPGs?
How do you make it into a talk box
The 10 Haters are from KORG ..LOL
😂😂😂😂
what is the first tune he plays?
is him from the free nationals?
Which microphone do you use?
Nice guy and great performing but I've listed to every digital vocoder hard or soft and still nothing is like a Bode, EMS or Sennheiser.
Actually, you can do similar thing on vt-3 also (if not the same) at least with v1.1 firmware. See: ruclips.net/video/Mhsp5AJIwlU/видео.html
Gr8!
