Great work on the cables routing, love when folks do things the right ways! I definitely learned something very useful, gotta love it!

Oh, cool! I thought you gave up scooting after the helix accident. Or was the silver bike not a Helix? I can't remember.

I had a question about the hole you drilled. Some other you-tuber drilled a hole in the glove box of the ADV 150 for the usb cable, albeit not as elegantly as yours. One commenter to that video said this: “About the box cover of 12v Outlet, actually you don't need to drill the hole because there is a little space at the bottom of the cover which is designed for placing the phone cord when you want to charge the phone.” I was wondering if you could double check your 160 to see if there is space that you missed designed for the cable to be routed in the 160, as the commenter claims there is in the 150.

I looked, but was unable to find anything. I will look again! I would have routed the cable the way I did anyway, to keep it tucked out of sight and more "permanent" in a sense.

Yes I think you are correct. The access is very small and not easy on the cable. When the glove box is shut, if you look on the bottom side of the door, you should see or feel 2 small notched out areas (maybe a couple inches apart from each other). With the door open, I was able to slide the cable from the right side of the door, toward the hinge, and get the cable into the right notched out area. When you shut the door, it appears to not be pinching the cable, but it's a tight fit.

Speaking of custom paint, does that Helm book you have mention the paint code for that particular red? Just went to look at an ADV 160 today and I’m more than likely going to get it.

The paint code is actually printed somewhere on the bike, I forget where though. You won’t find a touchup bottle ANYWHERE though
