Not to sound like a downer, but I still despise the trivialization of water walking mechanics with the mount equipment. It undermines so many cool and different ways to achieve it. Especially the Water Striders and class related abilities.
Gnarlwood wave board works, funnily enough like the previous toy, as the fishing raft. If you jump you speed up, its my go to for low lvl alts. Its a small plank of wood you skim the water on
I have something to add to a Kraken video for once (God is that difficult she's so thorough:)). The lilies in shadowmoon valley give you a 10 minute water walking buff. THIS IS SO BROKEN! It is not like regular buffs, it doesn't break on combat. You can take it into arathi basin or battle for gilneas and destroy everything since you can just run around at normal speed on water while your enemies have to swim. Especially fun as a dk since you can grip people into the water.
The things I learn from Kraken Latte! I feel like I haven't been playing WoW at all these last 13 years. Come on, who knew that the Fishing Raft can be sped up by jumping? Honestly! Even though it is written right there in the buff description, I mean... Could've easily gone another 20 years without ever discovering that myself.
Technically, there is a mage-only version of the Pandaren Fishing Raft called Bipsi's Bobbing Berg. But, despite the fact that you get it from the same rep vendor for the same price and it has the same rep requirement as the Raft, this one was never made a toy, which if you ask me is highly annoying (I could see it being a toy usable by Mage, Shaman and DK to stay with the frost theme, if they don't want to keep it Mage only).
*Big Slick in the City,* the pink rock snail that currently takes up one bag slot and can't be deleted, also nullifies fall damage. Not good for emergencies, cause you need to summon it first. And it can't be used in instances. But if you ride the snail you are immune to fall damage. It also falls with a rather satisfying _plop,_ so there's that too.
Another class specific water walking ability belongs to beast master hunters. The water strider hunter pet has an activatable ability that gives them water walking. I don't know if it persists while mounted, but it does disappear if your water strider despawns.
It does persist while mounted (for 10 mins)! And the feathermane pets offer a slowfall. It's why I use my hunter for strange/weird things and exploration. Demon Hunters are great for getting into weird places, but hunters can sometimes have better abilities via their pets for general exploration.
@diannaarcher1774 I knew their was a slowfall pet, but I forgot which animal it was, and I didn't know if it despawned during big jumps, so I didn't include it.
Great video, and quite useful! Even for those of us that have been playing the game for a while. But as a hunter main, I gotta say, kinda disappointed that you didn't mention Water Strider pets that allow for 10 min water walking (even while mounted, and without a cooldown) and Feathermanes for slowfall (also without a cooldown)... I make sure to keep one of each pet type available to me whenever I'm leveling in a new expansion. Maybe next time... Or maybe a video on hunter pet special abilities???
Thank you for these! The amount of times I accidentally dismount on my dragon mid-flight, or worse, launch myself off the side of high building only to realize I'm NOT on my dragon, is crazy. I'll be making a shopping list to pick up some of the potions and gliders, to avoid that humiliating fall to the center of Valdrakken.
So my guild is going to have like a running contest where we can only use items and race abilities to complete a walking course. No mounts. Got any suggestions or videos on the speed items potions food, class or race abilities, or toys or armor I can use to attempt to use for the race?
There is a question or problem that i need your help with. how did you get past the phasing issue for the thundering pandaren spirit for awfully big adventure?

There’s also the Revendreth slow-fall umbrella toy, I keep that one on my toolbar cuz you never know…
Only downside for that toy is you gotta be lvl 50 ( or 51, not sure) to use. Otherwise yes, I also keep it on my bar

I think Gunshoes crafted by engineers propel you over water as well if I remember correctly.
You only have 5 Fishing artifact? I have 1 per class. Yes, I even leveled one for the Dracthyr.😊
going to that zaqali boss in zaralek, i always get shot off my dragonriding mount so the slowfall tips are very helpful indeed!

I did that way back in Legion (early BFA?) and didn't have any issues that I recall, so I'm unsure. :/
