When this started I though, "Oh ok... no big deal. A flat simple spanner cutout with minimal depth." I never imagined that you'd go so far as to roll the metal as you have.
There are plenty of Spanners on the internet - but only Dom can say he’s proud to be the biggest spanner of them all and we would all positively agree! Keep up the good work.
Great work Dom. Can't wait to see what you do for the lettering on the handle. You make welding seem like something worth learning. Really appreciate that you seem to be more comfortable looking at the lens. I can "see" you putting in the effort, well done.
The spanner is looking great I can't wait to see the name and sizes attached. I'm delighted to see you have sold a Ranelagh and hope the business keeps going that way. 👍
What about making some nuts out of very thick cavity thermal block. I mocked up a petrol tank for a custom Triumph I am building and it worked really well. It’s easy to carve the screw thread and you can get it at any DIY store. Just an idea Dom. Love this project you two 👍🏼
G’day Dom and John those English Wheels were terrific they were a credit to you . I’m looking forward to watching build the car especially with aircraft engine in it. Take care kind regards John. PS that spanner looks great well done, Tassie John
I went on a cruise many years ago on an old fashioned liner. On the deck up at the bow was a spare propeller. The Allen key required to fit the grub screw would have been in scale with this spanner!!!!! Brilliant videos Dom, roll on next Sunday.
When you do the lettering you could use neodymium magnets to hold them in place instead of weld, then if you want to take it to other shows as well as goodwood you could plasma cut new letters.
Hi,dom, have to say the spanner looks amazing, just hope enough people who see it appreciate what went into it.on a similar thread i really hope you sell enough ranalahs to justify all your effort as so few people seem to be going for a skilled trade these days!! I really hope all this groundwork is going to really pay off ....And soon.😊
Hi Dom. I'm glad the inner vote won. I said in your previous Spanner video that old school all the way and rightly so. It's going to look great when it's finished. How will you go about doing the writing? Weld it? What if you were to go the same way you did on the Ranalah? That worked out looking really good. Also, how about you display the original small Spanner next to its big brother at Goodwood? Perhaps showing some still shot photos of how you both built the spanner.
Your giant spanner is starting to look great. Do you have plans for a rustproofing treatment of the inside? Your Porsche has shown us what hidden rust is able to do to hollow sheet metal structures when given time and opportunity ...
As always first class. You make tin bashing look easy. Love what you do. As you suggest maybe the angles of the end pieces need to be adjusted slightly. Always good to your skills at work. Hope to see the finished #2BA!! In situ at Goodwood.
"I think you're gonna need some bigger rollers" (with apologies to Jaws). Looks like John and you had a productive weekend as the spanner is coming together nicely. Looking forward to next week and well done with the Ranalah sale(s).
Hi Dom & John, looking good , you looked like a school boy doing his homework with the welder, Good News on the Ran, can't wait till next time, All the best Brian 😃
Amazing work Dom and honest Jon the spanner is looking brilliant as we thought it would and gonna be simply stunning at Goodwood well done loving the channel and what you both do ♥️👍
Hi Dom, the angle (head vs long straight joining piece) should be 30 degrees. This allows you to turn the spanner over when undoing a hex nut in a tight space. 60 deg per side, halved for turning the spanner over gives 30degrees.
Also, the long curve could have been formed on the Ranalah with a rubber band on the flat wheel. This technique is demonstrated by Carl Fischer on his Make it Kustom RUclips channel - the thickness of sheet may be an issue….
Great video Dom, Great news on the Ranalah sale, you must be a very pleased man as all that hard work is starting to pay off, loving the spanner, have you thought what will happen when Revival has finished?
Another terrific video Dom, the dynamic duo strike again. I'm glad the Ranalahs are starting to sell. Dare we know the retail price? That spanner is going to look really good. What are you going to do about a stand for it, as it's going to be heavy?
When this started I though, "Oh ok... no big deal. A flat simple spanner cutout with minimal depth." I never imagined that you'd go so far as to roll the metal as you have.
My favourite part of Sunday afternoon - keep up the great work Dom and Jon...
Yep, the best bit of Sunday. Thank you boys.
Ps. Fig newton's with a cuppa.
There are plenty of Spanners on the internet - but only Dom can say he’s proud to be the biggest spanner of them all and we would all positively agree!
Keep up the good work.

Those curves are turning out really well.

Looking good! Congrats lads. :)
Fab work, chaps! We're excited to be coming to Goodwood Revival. Look forward to checking out the monster spanner!
Always a pleasure to watch your Sunday video Dom and great to see John back in the workshop helping out
This is one of the highlights of my week. The spanner really is coming together.
It's going to look absolutely mint, like how you and John just click when you get together. 👍🤗
Well done to you & Jon that is looking so good & you can just imagine how it will look on display.
Have a good week.
G’day Dom and John those English Wheels were terrific they were a credit to you . I’m looking forward to watching build the car especially with aircraft engine in it. Take care kind regards John. PS that spanner looks great well done, Tassie John
The therapeutic value of your videos is beyond measure, just keep doing what you do. Can't thank you enough.
Loving the scanner but totally stoked for you to hear the Ranalahs are starting to sell. A mammoth effort and so deserved. Nice.
I went on a cruise many years ago on an old fashioned liner. On the deck up at the bow was a spare propeller. The Allen key required to fit the grub screw would have been in scale with this spanner!!!!!
Brilliant videos Dom, roll on next Sunday.
The curved spanner end pieces are basically the beginings of motorbike mudguard shapes, so would be great demo pieces for the English wheel.
The final spanner would look awesome chromed. Great vids as always
well done on selling the Ranalah - big achievement
That top view looked absolutely amazing, top job guys!!
Great progress on the Giant Spanner! Essex boys done good.
Great fabrication work Dom, cannot wait to see the finished spanner. Love it ❤
Dom you and Honest John are such a top team. Look forward you your shenanigans every week. #keepitup
Fascinating video Dom. It's looking really good.
Starting to look great
Hi, if after its built it feels tool flexible maybe add a vent and inject some expanding foam within it. Good luck.
When you do the lettering you could use neodymium magnets to hold them in place instead of weld, then if you want to take it to other shows as well as goodwood you could plasma cut new letters.
Coming along great Dom.

Great team work guys. A dom bad workman blames his tools 😅😅😅. Great vid as ever mate. Going to look fantastic.
Proper job boys 👍
Make sure to put the sizes on the ends like 8 inch or whatever it is lol looks awesome 😎
Your giant spanner is starting to look great. Do you have plans for a rustproofing treatment of the inside? Your Porsche has shown us what hidden rust is able to do to hollow sheet metal structures when given time and opportunity ...
Really enjoyed this one too Dom. Keep 'em coming mate it is so much better than the telly (well, not all the telly eh?)
It's a lot of talk about Jon's spanner.. Keep it up!
Well done, you. Always love when you and Jon work together. Can't wait to see the finished spanner. Have a great week ahead. ❤
The Dream Team Assemble !! Cheers From California 😊

Coming together nicely Dom. Your rolling machine took me back to my childhood, watching mum putting the washing through the mangle 😂
I use a 6inch spanner most days at work for spirit hoses , this is bigger but spanners like this do see daily use in some industries.
"I think you're gonna need some bigger rollers" (with apologies to Jaws). Looks like John and you had a productive weekend as the spanner is coming together nicely. Looking forward to next week and well done with the Ranalah sale(s).
What a spanner. 🤣 So pleased you went with the popular vote!
So much fun to watch! Well done team Dom-Jon. And that metal drop-saw was very cool. Hubby wants one!
Looking very schmick, Dom! Awesome effort.
The extra mile. I have Whitworth spanners with flat middle sections but rounded on the outside of course.
Great work, who wouldn't want to be as busy as Dom doing what you love!
I love the concept. Two "nutty" dudes making a giant spanner! Keep going, guys.
Great to see the giant spanner progressing well. Congrats on the sale of the Randula's.
Don’t wish to put a spanner in the works, but that’s nuts! 😜
My brain is working overtime, seeing you guys manipulate sheets of steel to create perfect replica shapes is mind-blowing. Amazing work
Love love love this Dom what a fantastic idea wish i could come meet you and see it for real
Hi Dom & John, looking good , you looked like a school boy doing his homework with the welder, Good News on the Ran, can't wait till next time, All the best Brian 😃
It's so enjoyable being part of your workshop time. Keep it up.
Thank you!
Fascinating, Dom, as usual!
That is going to look mint when it’s done 👍👍
Great work, it's looking good. Also good to hear that the Ranalahs are selling; must be great to know your efforts are worth it.
A great video Dom! I especially liked the teamwork on display with synchronised “jumping” on the guillotine. 😂❤
Brilliant work both, great banter with Jon. Well done with the vote winning for inward 🙂
Looks great Dom!
looking great, you should put on the size of the spanner on the side too :)
The wrench is looking great!
Great Video Dom. You're killing it mate. so good.
Looking great so far & I’m glad you decided to keep it looking authentic 👍
Always look forward to Sunday and your new videos. Great work to both Jon and you.
Looking good keep up the great work
Hate to say it Dom , but l think there's a spanner in the works !!! 🤣🤣🤣
Amazing work Dom and honest Jon the spanner is looking brilliant as we thought it would and gonna be simply stunning at Goodwood well done loving the channel and what you both do ♥️👍
Always do enjoy your content Dom!
Great stuff! Can’t wait to see it finished. Cheers Dom and Jon! 👍👍
looking good Dom. Can't wait to see the finished project!
Great video, spanner progress is tremendous
I much prefer the (much) slower turning metal bladed cut off tool. The grinder version sprays dirt far and wide - yeuch.
The giant spanner is looking great. Those “bowl” pieces are going to be tricky though, aren’t they?
Greta work Dom. loving the content. Thank you. 👍
Well done Both...
Brilliant Dom & John

Yeah it wouldn’t have been a good idea to put 1.5mm though the ranalah!! I appreciate the info about the 30 degrees though thank you
Thinking about the angle a bit more, it might be 15 degrees that you need.this will give a total of 30 degrees when the spanner is turned over!
Great work Dom.
Great Welding job Of the spanner Surprised it did not warp all over the place
You’re doing fantastic Dom, well done.👍👍
Viewing your fine art from Minneapolis! Really enjoying your commitment to detail!
Looking Ace Dom. Please tell me the spanner is going to be anchored down to a giant concrete nut at Goodwood?!?!?
Looking great guys
Great video Dom, Great news on the Ranalah sale, you must be a very pleased man as all that hard work is starting to pay off, loving the spanner, have you thought what will happen when Revival has finished?
Have you thought about getting a Evolution chop saw cuts metal cleanly
Great video as always mate 👍
Nice to hear you sold the ranalahs afthercal that work and money you spend on them .Hope you sell many more
Good on ya Dom. Love your work. Inspirational stuff. Cheers mate.
Love your work! Goodwood is on my bucket list! Someday…
Awesome video, thank you dom
Living the progress, looking good Dom.
Looking good
Another great video Dom and glad to see the Ranalahs are starting to sell 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Great work guys. Really enjoy watching your videos 🤙🏻
Another terrific video Dom, the dynamic duo strike again. I'm glad the Ranalahs are starting to sell. Dare we know the retail price? That spanner is going to look really good. What are you going to do about a stand for it, as it's going to be heavy?
New camera? Looking very HD 👍
Same camera, maybe I’m just getting the hang of filming?!
