10:00 A trick I use to help with defending one pawn stalemates is to think of the squares in best order (1, 2, 3) 1st is directly in front of the pawn. (C7 in this case. 2nd best is in front of the pawn with a gap of one square (C8) 3rd is to follow whichever way the opponents king goes to oppose it (b8 or d8 here). Go the the highest on the list you are allowed to move to.
2:43 You statement your opponent and writing in comments my teaching doesn't work. Lol 🤣🤣 You are the best teacher in the world. I have learned so many things from you. Thank You Sir. 🙏🏻

15:50 Puzzle of today has a lot of winning moves. I choose simple b7+. If Kb8 we play a7+ forcing a king to take and we play Kc7 to premote. If instead Ka7 is played. We will run our king to c8 and advance our pawn
Exactly what I would do. One of those instances where you shouldn’t worry about the most efficient moves, just make sure you get one to promote with no stalemate
I also would do this one.We don't want to run our king to c8 just play kc7 make a queen put it on the b3 and next on the b4 square eventually the king will be mated on b6
1. b7+ If Kb8 then the follow up is: 2. Kd7 Ka7 3. Kc7 Kxa6 4. b8=Q 1. b7+ If Ka7 then the follow up is: 2. Kc7 Kxa6 3. b8=Q Was kinda hard to visualise the Ka7 solution. But if you move any other first move then its a stalemate.
Did I get it wrong then? I thought the first move should be kd7, black has to go to b8 so you follow with b7, forcing black's king to a7, you follow with kc8 and black can't stop you promoting your b pawn.
Thank so much for explaining it in details the endgame pawn opposition. Sometimes I have problems checkmating my opponent because he plays opposition correctly and I don't. But from now on I will remember the rule perfectly 😊

Solution 1: 1.b7+ kb8 2.a7+ kxa7 3.kc7 ka6 4.b8=Q ka5 5.Qb3 ka6 6.Qb6# Solution 2: 1.kd7 kb8 2. b7 ka7 3. Kc8 kxa6 4. b8=Q Solution 1 is faster and more forcing but both seems to be valid to me. Idk if there are any more ways to win. Edit: my bad. Solution 2 transposes to same lines as solution 1 if white plays kc7 in move 3 instead of kc8. Both solutions are actually equally forcing 😅
Sir, I need a suggestion. I can beat Isabel (1600 rated bot) in almost every match, but when it comes to playing online, I lose to 700 rated players. Why is it so and how can I improve it?

Nice video would like to see more advanced endgames🙏
Is this the beginning of more endgame videos here?? I'm all for it ! I want to improve my endgames !!

It's much more informative than winning in x moves and opening traps! Keep it up!!
1:00 beautiful metaphor! :)

Endgame please make videos on end game
This is what I need!!! Thank you!
An excellent teaching video. Thank you Igor.
King pawn forced draw I was taught by the founder president of my association way back in 1980, thanks for other beneficial examples ❤.
For us amateurs, that rule about just moving one of the pawns is genius.
Thank so much for explaining it in details the endgame pawn opposition. Sometimes I have problems checkmating my opponent because he plays opposition correctly and I don't. But from now on I will remember the rule perfectly 😊
Glad to help!
This helped me, thanks
Nice video!! I came out with useful information over here, like opposition.. Thanks again!
Great to hear!
Very clear explanatipn. Thanks a lot.
🙏
Good morning Sir,
A long demanded vdo you have submitted. It will be of immense help to us. Thanks a lot
Glad it was helpful!
hundred times I've heard about this rule. 😊 Now it was clear even for me

Nice Vid.🎉🎉🎉
Your videos are really useful. By those tactics I got
Jumped from 155 to 850 elo in just a month
Thanks for the masterclasses
Great work! Keep at it!
More endgame videos
Can you do a video about Napoleon's attack ?
That was completely new to me! 🙂
Make series on endgames
1. Kd7 2. Kc6 3. a7 4. b7 5. b8 or a8
2. Kc6 is impossible
Kd7...Kb8 2 b7...Ka7 3 Kc8.... ( promotion by White next move)
Puzzle: b7+. If Kb8, a7+ and if Ka7, Kc7 should win
"...then you stalemate your opponent and tell me it doesn't work..." LOL I love it !!
Solution 1:
1.b7+ kb8
2.a7+ kxa7
3.kc7 ka6
4.b8=Q ka5
5.Qb3 ka6
6.Qb6#
Solution 2:
1.kd7 kb8
2. b7 ka7
3. Kc8 kxa6
4. b8=Q
Solution 1 is faster and more forcing but both seems to be valid to me. Idk if there are any more ways to win.
Edit: my bad. Solution 2 transposes to same lines as solution 1 if white plays kc7 in move 3 instead of kc8. Both solutions are actually equally forcing 😅
2:46 Jokes on you, I promote to a Rook to avoid such complications
Kd7 Kb8 (forced)
b7 Ka7 (forced)
Kc8 K:a6 (forced)
b8 Queen
Forced checkmate in 6:
B7 KB8
A7 KxA7
KC7 KA6
A8Q KA5
QB3 KA6
QB6
Well, the first king move isn't forced.. but if he does the alternative, it saves a move and is checkmate in 5
there can't be that much of "wasting time", there is a 50 moves draw problem
Awesome TYTY !
Thank you!
1. Kc6 Ka8 2. b7+ Kb8 3. a7+ Kxa7 4. Kc7 Ka6 5. b8=Q
King is already on a8
B7
What about king triangulation?
My 1773 elo brain
Yeah let's watch some endgame theory
The video
King pawn ending
My brain watch it😅
b7+ Kd8 a7+ Kxa7 Kc7
Kd7 Kb8; Pb7 Ka7; Kc8 Kb6; Pb8(Q)
8:56😂😂😂😂
either I lose or my opponent before we reach such end game
So horse doesn't go before cart if two pawns? Only if one pawn.🤔
b7+. If Ka7 Kc7 Kxa6 b8=Q and White easily wins. If Kb8 a7+ Kxa7 Kc7 Ka6 b8=Q and again an easy win for White.
we say the H & A files not working...
AAAHHHHHH...(moans)
Think of your opponent going “HA HA” because they got a stalemate lol
kd7 kb8, kd8 ka8, pb7 ka7, kc8 kxa6 or kb6, pb8 win for white
Chess tactics should be taught from pawn king endgames backward to the middlegame before you learn middlegame tactics. Otherwise what's the use? 🤷♂️
Sir, I need a suggestion. I can beat Isabel (1600 rated bot) in almost every match, but when it comes to playing online, I lose to 700 rated players. Why is it so and how can I improve it?
What time control are you playing against the real players?
@@Ploeppsel mainly rapid matches (10 minutes)
@@Devansh_Bajpai07 ok I guess it's the extra time you have against the bot our you are very good against a certain playstyle the bot uses xDD
@@Ploeppsel maybe, but could you possibly suggest something for improvement?
❤❤
That stalemate comment 😂
I wish I watched this video before, I lost one game and the opponent promoted his queen.
I will NOT stalemate if my pawn promotes💀🙏
That one was so mean 😂
Same once i promote your done
Don't promote to a bishop! Lol
b7+ is the answer to the puzzle
making your king as diddy to your pawn to become a queen?
