Happy almost anniversary, we enjoy watching your channel. We met you both at one of your first van festivals. Keep the vlogs coming and safe travels. Frank and Jane ❤
Hi both, yes we remember you well and maybe we'll bump into you again if your going to any festivals this year. Thank you for your ongoing support it really does mean the world to us. Happy travels 😊
We’ve been to this campsite. I think you went along the back roads. We went into the start of Swanage, past the school on the left and then turned left into Washpond Lane. It’s straight up the road on the right. Yes road was narrow but we had a caravan and everything was fine. I could never make out this site. There was a fight one evening we were there, then found out the next day that it was between the staff! Probably the nearest touring park to Swanage and walkable.
Looks like you have an airfryer on board, in which that would be better than a microwave for doing frozen jacket taters. It will crisp the skins too. McCaines or Bannisters are best. Cheers.
Hi thank you for the comment. I did think of that however I had something else in the Air Fryer at the time. However will definitely look about changing things about next time as you are right they would be more crisp. Happy Travels 😊
Hi, thank you very much for your support. The solar works in conjunction with the EHU on the smart charging system to deliver power to each battery however i suppose it depends on the system someone has. Happy travels 😊
It's the first time I have watched your videos, very entertaining! We live near Poole and when I heard you say the campsite was expensive, I thought, "Welcome to Dorset". Everything is expensive in Dorset, except the buses at the moment, all fares £2 wherever you want to go. Not much use to you now, but if you ever came back..... Dorset is a beautiful county, there is so much to see, but so many people are doing so much that is spoiling it, all to make money.
Hi and thank you for your comment 😊 We do love the south and Dorset being one of our favourite. That's good to hear about the buses very good price not so much for the campsites though and that seems to be the way now in the UK. It's a shame to hear it's getting spoiled by greed. Happy travels 😊
Well done really enjoyed the video great content just right ! not too much not too little. Very nice to see you both review the site in a fair & balanced manner pointing out both good & bad which I would say gives anyone contemplating a stay there a true idea of what to expect . My parents holidayed to Swanage from Salisbury when I was young and we all returned back when we were adults and I had kids and we took the train to Corfe castle. It was brilliant . Can't remember it being that expencive though. A few years ago. During the 70's we stayed right on the beach on the left , above what was a tourest shop selling shells and you could go to sleep hearing the sea right out side and then run down to the beach before breakfast. Beautiful childhood memories. The time later we tried to stay in the same place but they had been turned into private appartments. We stayed above the sweet shop in town.
Hi, it’s a lovely place to visit and we will visit again sometime so we will look out for the places you have mentioned. With the train cost I suppose everything has gone up these days, not cheap but worth the experience. Happy travels 😊

Just found your channel and looks like you're having loads of fun adventures. I've watched a few and looking forward to seeing more in the future too (just subscribed too)
Hi guys! I’ve just discovered your channel, and you seem to give honest, down to earth reviews, which is really helpful. My wife and I are entering our 11th year of Caravanning, and looking to ‘upgrade’ to a Motorhome in the not too distant future, so your vlogs are really useful. Thanks for your review of Corfeeeee! We were married there, nearly 20 years ago, and keep promising ourselves to go back. It still looks like a lovely place, so we won’t be disappointed.
Hi and thank you so much 😊 It very much is still a lovely place to visit and i'm sure you can create some more lovely memories on your new adventure in a motorhome. Happy travels 😊
@@lifes4touring We were married at the Morton’s Manor, an Elizabethan building full of character and history! After the ceremony we walked down to the Railway Station, still in our Wedding Clothes, had some pictures taken in the Station Master’s accommodation and then, when the next Steam Train pulled in, they stopped it short of the platform for a few more pictures (with the Castle in the background) and then let my new wife up onto the footplate of the locomotive for some more pictures! The people running that service are all dedicated volunteers, helpful and friendly. They told us that every 10 years, every working Steam Train needs a complete strip down and rebuild. Back then the cost was about £250,000 per engine, I dread to think how much that would cost these days!!!
That sound absolutely amazing, we can only imagine what a great day you had on your wedding day. If the train refurbishment costs that much we are not surprised of the price of tickets. Well worth it though to keep them going 😊
Hi there I think that you gave a fair review but as you mentioned it is open all year round so they should have enough finances to do the much needed upgrades. Safe travels in Europe

Nice review of the area. We live in Wareham but please its Corfe Castle, not corfey 😂. There isn't many sites in Swanage but 20 mins away in Wareham there are some really nice sites. Wareham Forest, Birchwood, Hunters moon CAMC.
Hi, thank you. Jodie eventually got it after i was telling her many times 🤣🤣 We have stayed at Birchwood before on a past vlog not to long ago and it was lovely. We will try Hunters moon one day too. Happy travels 😊
Nice video guys alot of sites seem to have a narrow road or narrow entrance to them and i do not know why some campsite owners don't widen them they must know the size of motorhomes and that includes club sites it does not take much to trim a tree or bush or if not they should offer free bottles of fenwick window scratch remover 😮 the site was exspensive but at least they had somewhere to eat and drink unlike most club sites good luck guys from the man with the broken bailey new subs criber

Like you say though some scratch remover would be awesome 🤩 Also it is a bonus to have somewhere on site to eat and drink if you choose too. Happy travels 😊
Good question, I would say the road would need to be blocked to passing traffic using a tractor and trailer to move down the narrow road. We don’t know for sure though just speculation so it does make us wonder too. Happy travels 😊

Thank you for your comment. Totally get that however the batteries weren’t totally full and the solar was drawing in 0.4 Amp to keep it topped up. If there was nothing coming into the system it shows zero on the centre dial. EHU was working on the other battery. The smart system will fluctuate between the 2 batteries. Happy travels 😊

Your not being precious, it's alot of money invested, had a similar issue on our way to Wales last weekend, back home tomorrow, good luck on your euro trip
Hi David thank you and you are right it's alot of investment and you can go into a panic going down some of them tight roads. It's the overhanging branches that worry me. Hope your having a great time away, happy travels 😊
We’ve lived in Corfe Castle for past two years on Norden Farm Campsite, a beautiful walk through the woods to the village. Grass pitches so no good this time of year though but if you do go again, give it a go. Fantastic bus service to swanage, Poole, Wareham etc outside the gate 😊
We stayed at Hunters Moon CAMC site in Wareham Forest, there are quite a few sites there, all really nice and not that far from Swanage. Kingston Lacy is a really interesting NT property to visit nearby, the family who owned it also owned Corfe Castle. We have family in the area so it’s one of our favourites.
We have stayed near Wareham before and agree the area is lovely. We were originally going to a rally which may have been on grass with not much to do so we looked for a campsite last minute. This was the only one with availability for Easter. We will look at Hunters Moon in the future when we return. Have a great weekend. Happy Travels 😊
Totally agree, it's always the first thing you think off when entering a narrow road hoping nothing is coming towards you. Gladly on this occasion it was all clear. Happy travels 😊
Your not wrong. We're off to France again in 6 weeks. Had brilliant pitches with private bathroom, on site restaurants, swimming pools, etc for considerably less than £53.
@@DolbyDogAdventures Yeah we are really looking forward to getting back out there. Better prices and great places to stay sometimes for free. Enjoy your trip 😊
@@lifes4touring Gave up caravanning in the UK too expensive and bad weather luckily retired so its Spain and France for us. Most we have paid was $45 euros for all singing all dancing with direct access to the beach. Most we would pay is 35 euro in July / August. £53.00 for a pitch of unkempt grass no way.
Blimey what a rip off, I was shocked to see how many people were on the site & happy to pay that to potentially damage there vehicles on that daft road and considering it’s the worst rated.. it always gets me how the roads to sites always seem to be ridiculously narrow
Hi yes, she has and if you watch the video you will see it down to the bottom right-hand corner. Thank you for checking on our safety and happy travels 😊
Clearly a lack of re-investment going on here with this site, from a business point of view it's a typical case of too much being taken out of the business and not enough ploughed back in. Shame because it's in a tourist hotspot.
With prices that high , no wonder brits go abroad . I think if the camp site has lots going on for your money ie great facilities /. Clubhouse kids entertainment good eaterie, then i
Hi, we agree that if the site has everything when it comes to extras from the standard facilities then it can be worth the cost. However as always you will get more for your money travelling across to Europe. Happy travels 😊
£53 a night Jesus wept, you were on a serviced pitch which is probably why it was free. You’ve a lot to learn but I think you are quick learners. France and Camping car park app for me €12 a night following the Tour de France if it wasn’t for 90 day rule I’d retire to it.
It was definitely a lot more than we wanted to pay and wouldn’t normally book something at that price. We had plans but it was a grass pitch and we wanted something better at Easter due to the weather. If we hadn’t have left it until the last minute we could have got a better deal somewhere else. We enjoyed ourselves that’s the main thing. We have learned quickly over the last couple of years and we also loved France and Spain when we went last year and we would be out there most of the time too if we could it’s a much better experience. Happy Travels 😊
You lot are getting screwed over on UK sites. I have retired and lived in France for 8 years. I am booked into a municipal site at Bayeux 2nd week in September 6 nights including electric for 19 euros per night. Includes entry to Aquatic Leisure facilities next door. Centre 600 metres walk. Visited UK for 4 weeks in June and horrified at the exorbitant costs of sites.
its because your pluggled in and i assume the 230v charger is on and your batts are 13v pl;us so the so9lar regulator is liminting the current !!! why make a videeo if you have no idea how things work ?
The regulator was not limiting the current as that’s what I was getting even off EHU. When on EHU the solar feeds one battery while the EHU will feeds the other.

Hi, thank you we will be back to revisit Swanage and will definitely keep you in mind. We will make sure it's in the summer months when we do. 😊
That road was narrow glad nothing was coming towards you phew 😮
Totally agree, it's always the first thing you think off when entering a narrow road hoping nothing is coming towards you. Gladly on this occasion it was all clear. Happy travels 😊
It’s unusual for the model village to be free
Hi Ian, we did mention in the vlog it's £4.50 each just after we left. 😊
£53!! Guess they have the demand so can charge those prices.
Yeah and seems to be the case with many over the holiday period. That's a good reason to get over into Europe.
Hi, we totally understand where you're coming from and when we retire we will be doing the same more often. Also we love the sun 🤣 Happy travels 😊
So I saw that its aweful and the comments say its expensive. I bet its a C&MC site...😂😂😂 genuinely surprised it's not! 🤷♂️
🤣🤣
Blimey what a rip off, I was shocked to see how many people were on the site & happy to pay that to potentially damage there vehicles on that daft road and considering it’s the worst rated.. it always gets me how the roads to sites always seem to be ridiculously narrow
It's not corfee it's corf without the ee
🤣 I eventually got that right in then end after Lee telling me several times. 😊
God we would never pay that price 🫤🫤
Hi, we don’t plan to be paying that price often if we can help it. Happy travels 😊
Has the lady got a seat belt on
Hi yes, she has and if you watch the video you will see it down to the bottom right-hand corner. Thank you for checking on our safety and happy travels 😊
Coffee castle
🤣
For "your" fear of sounding stupid, it's pronounced Corf ( castle ) The e is silent.
🤣 Hi, as mentioned on another comment I eventually got that right in the end after Lee telling me several times. 😊
Clearly a lack of re-investment going on here with this site, from a business point of view it's a typical case of too much being taken out of the business and not enough ploughed back in. Shame because it's in a tourist hotspot.
Hi, totally agree. Happy travels 😊
£53 a night, yoiu have got to be joking, It looks like a nice site but that is ridiculous.
Unfortunately that seems to be the way in that area and i'm sure other area in the UK too these days. Happy travels 😊
It’s CORF(e) 🙂
😂 it took a while but I got it right in the end after Lee telling me about 3 times 😊
I'd rather stand than travel backwards 🤮
As it was only going slow and steady it wasn’t that back however if it was faster then maybe i would of been standing too 🤣 Happy travels 😊
1st vid ive watched of yours it was fantastic much love from norfolk
Hi and thank you so much we really do appreciate your comment. Happy travels 😊
