Hot tip Take all the duck sauce, soy sauce and hot sauce from the Chinese takeout, combine and season to taste and you have the cheapest tsos sauce in town. It takes a bit of testing as you have to match the right amount of sauce packets but it's literally the same sauce when combined and warmed up
@@alphawolf2486 try two duck sauces, half a soy sauce packet and one hot sauce to test it out, that's how I started when you find the level you want you can adjust the measurements for bigger meals
The measurements are wrong in the video, its saying 1 tsp ginger and they dump out like 2 tablespoons in the video, 1 tsp garlic and they dump out another 2 tablespoons, i can tell just by looking its wrong.
Thank you for your observations. You were right; we had listed incorrect quantities for those ingredients, and I apologize for that mistake. Rest assured, we've now added a 'correction' note with the right quantities for those two ingredients and a few others. We'll make sure to avoid such editing errors in the future. Once again, thank you for pointing this out to us.
Hi, the dry red chilies impart a mild heat and smoky flavor to your sauce but the real heat comes from the chili flakes and it is also balanced with the sweetness of brown, and white sugar. Regarding the rice vinegar alternative, yes you can substitute it with Shaoxing wine. However, Shaoxing wine is usually sweeter compared to rice vinegar and you may find a mild difference in the flavor profile of the sauce. Hope this helps! Have a good day :)
Sorry to hear that. Not sure what went wrong. But there could few reasons. 1. Not using Soy sauce that contains low sodium. 2. Chicken Broth will have salt added as well so adding additional salt may produce unexpected result. Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot!
Hi! Do those dry red chilies impart a taste or is it just for spiciness? Any notable differences in subbing shaoxing wine for rice vinegar?
