Been running this exact setup for a few months now, Huerco is definitely a sleeper brand. Just got back from a trip catching multiple smallies up to 16" on little 2g jigs. Love that this rod doesn't overpower little perch and sunnies. Been eyeing the new YS408 limited edition collab rod for trout season 👀
Just now realizing your from Jersey lol I live down the street from there. Have you tried fishing the church down the street? I’ve been getting 3+ lbers there every time I go.
Yep! I am in NJ :P. I haven't fished any church around that area. I only go here when I visit family. I live a bit more south near Walt Whitman Bridge.

That reel is def on my christmas list lol.. These nights are getting cold and windy the last 2 nights here in keansburg nj. What some good soft plastic lures to use this time of month jimbo?
Yeah the cooler nights are here and the fall bite will turn on in a week i say :) I think right now, i am just throwing bottom lures. they are kinda shut down. but often i just throw swimbaits. Underspins or spinnerbaits will add flash where needed. I think a lot of the waters here are mucky as the temperature of the water drops, but should clear out later in Oct!
@@rawrfishing thanks .yeah the one place i stop by has so much muck and plants like you said till prob Oct its hard to fish anything but topwater, when it clears i think i used a fluke last year and caught a few. I need to try flashy stuff like you said cuz i dont use them enough

What was the bluegill thinking bro🤣😂, but nice bass, great looking lure, been impressed by glass rods, but hear horror stories flipping a bass, nice trout.. is that mainly the quality of the rod? You also mentioned about the flip, I guess not good choice for a dock or some boats, I remember on boats always forget net and scale like always lol. Tyvm tc
the rod here is more stronger than my other rods. Most of my other rods are not glass, but mainly graphite. Some of them are high modulus, making it more sensitive, but more brittle. if dock fishing, one must have a net to ensure you don't snap your rods. line and hooks can also go too lifting a fish that high!
@@rawrfishing yes love to see how works on trout, great idea brother👍, as you may remember after last time using glass rod I was amazed at size of fish, I'm more impressed and thinking about getting one, we have nets, but sometimes forget mostly because think each other had one lol, I still have a gaff from when used to go on boat in salt water, keeping the fish, I've never had a rod break fishing, I've seen it lol, I have broken a few rods closing in door🥺, I even was heading fishing and rod cought in cieling fan🤣😂, when my brother cought his PB 6lbs 10oz we didn't have net, our friend Gregg tried to lip it but couldn't reach, was crazy minutes, brother flipped onto boat, rod was med/heavy action and did break, I can't go on Gregg's boat anymore, but can on brothers custom bass fishing pontoon boat, and we have a net permanently on a holder👍, loving content, always a surprise when do videos because you actually fish, bring whole mix of content, next summer might see you with fishing partner, your son lol. @rawrfishing I've noticed that but at least there are a few affordable options for regular sized glides bfs is still new
@rawrfishing also I did find a website that has blank lures and they do have a micro glide bait unpainted and without hooks pretty cheap
$40 for a micro glide bait! You'd definitely want to run braid. If I lost it on a small bass, I'd have to drain the pond, lol.
