    Jimmy I want to take just a moment to thank you for all of your help. Bud it feels like if been a bit of a pest asking questions left and right. But sense getting into BFS it has been a game changer for me catching stubborn fish. So far the largest fish I’ve caught on my BFS was a 5 pound catfish. Again thank you.

    Nice nice review I was on the fence about the ml loading and feeling the bite with ultra light stuff. And the 1 gram casting on that rod surprisingly well.

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  Год назад +2

      Definitely impressive, But I think this rod isn't really made to throw that light. Given that it is a ML rod, the lighter the lure, the harder to pick up those tiny bites. I think the 1 gram level is also not realistic since it's super short distance, just because it can do it, doesn't mean it is effective.
      I will play around soon with a larger bfs spool reel and also some heavier lures. I feel like this could potentially be a good moderate ML rod for bass fishing applications as well. Some bigger treble hook lures sound fun! Maybe throw that Jackall Baby Giron for the spring? yeah yeah?????

      @@rawrfishing for sure! I think people value honesty very highly because at the end of the day it’s their money they’re spending. No one wants to experience buyers remorse and getting the positives and negatives in a review help navigate those concerns. Keeping things as objective as possible I think helps folks see what’s actually there but… it’s not completely possible. Just gotta do our best to paint the whole picture and then share our thoughts and final opinions. My videos aren’t super structured but I’ll probably get there as info is easier to digest that way. Seems like a very nice rod. It can cast 1g+ lures and has enough backbone for big bass. Good taper to keep big bass pinned. And enough power to pull big bass out of structure. High quality guides. But Jenko should specify the number of guides on their website 7+tip.

    • @rawrfishing
      @rawrfishing  Год назад +2

      it's certainly a nice rod that isn't spec'ed out right for the BFS community. I am glad to be able to get my hands on one from Jenko for an honest review as Jenko was able to learn more about what BFS folks want to see and I was able to clear up some of the concerns (similar to most bfs folks) about the rod's capabilities. I am going to continue testing a bit further with other setups and of course I will relay to them about your suggestion in regards to the # of guides to be listed on their specs :) (They might be reading this tho lol)

    Agree . Any compensating on the cast should not count at all . Thats where all the disappointment comes from . We need a standard set so we all know . None of this misleading BS . We are a community . Lets share our true experiences without the BS . No compensating on the cast to count and any compensating on the cast should be declared . How many rods and reels have us BFS guys bought jumping on the hype train for the lowest casting weight possible . BFS is all about the accuracy and fluencey for me with the light weights . How many rods and reels have us BFS guys bought that are now sitting doing nothing or have been put on ebay or we have given away . Set the bar Jimmy . Let us BFS guys suffer no more !!! Thanks for the kind words. Definitely need a better standard in both how brands build and spec out their products. Many products lack the details, for instance reels, in what its true capabilities are. And then we have folks like my self who spent many years to learn to test products. It took me a while to figure out where I like my standards to be. I was watching my old we videos and I cringed as I was like wow.. I was pretty clueless since my earlier videos were more of exploring and learning. But now that I have gained a tremendous amount of experience from trying many products and also living through other people feedback within the bfs community, I will attempt to set bars going forward based on my experience. I may need to obtain more reels and keep them stock for better perspective when test results. Let's change the game!

We need real honest claims by brands and honest reviews by RUclipsrs so we can continue enjoying the pleasure of BFS without disappointment and false expectations . Honesty goes a long way . Please do not make the mistake of calling a left-hand retrieve baitcasting reel is for left handers! The name only states where the reel handle is positioned. As a Right hand dominate person, you want to hold the rod and reel with the right hand as you have more strength and dexterity. Leave the retrieving to the left hand.

      If you do feel any negative vibes from my response, it's not directed to you in anyway, it's to the horrible fishing market who just want to catch our wallets while we anglers trying to catch fish
