While it may sound straight foward at first, this ability comes with a whole set of weird interactions with other heroes.

There’s a weird interaction in the hero gallery where the devs keep giving Kiriko all the skins and forget to give Illari even a simple voice line.
She literally got a skin last week. Y’all just LOVE complaining about EVERYTHING.

favourite part of a new hero coming out is people not knowing out to pronounce it. I had a friend that called Moira, Moria. Every time he did we would shout "And they call it a mine!"
The pronunciation is actually correct. Her name is Quechua, so LL isn't pronounced the same way as in Spanish

Found this weird interaction where my teammates playing as a lllari put her healing pylon in the most obvious and dumb places on the floor, so it gets destroyed immediately.
I've missed a wall from to time to see it magestically souring into the enemy team

Genji can deflect the healing from the pylon to his teammates
These “weird interactions” are just normal interactions for all turret abilities in the game. Sym turrets, Torb turret, Bob, and DVA bomb all function like this
at least spell the hero’s name correctly

It looks like the interactions rules are identical to Torbjorn's turret. It's just smaller and sticks to stuff.
I think the funniest interaction is when she can remove half of your health at widowmaker range with her sojourn rail gun and heal herself with pylon +passive
No she barely does damage that far away, no sojourn is way stronger. Stop standing the open not moving its gonna get you headshotted
@@group555_ number one, calm down before you type, number two she shoots an 83 damage projectile every 2.5 seconds, has no damage drop off on range, unlike Ashe, Cass, or any hitscan other than soldier, widow and soj, and charges her shots far faster than soj can charge a rail. while granted, the max damage for a sojourn rail is higher, but only by around 50 damage, and with a much more infrequent rate of recharge that requires you to land her main fire first.

@@flyingboye at 30 meters, y’know, like I said, sniper distance, she can still do her full 75 damage shots every half second from 30 meters away, having the same damage falloff as Ashe, with the difference being that illari’s damage only dips down to 22.5 damage per shot at 50 METERS. As a support with a rapid fire hitscan that is insane. Not to mention her ultimate which has a bigger splash than Pharah’s Concussion blast and junk’s riptire, while also being as fast as a concussion blast. Apologies if the above stats were over exaggerating, but honestly that’s not even too far from what it is, and I even underestimated her rate of charge after they buffed it again.
I just absolutely love finding weird ass places to put the pylon where the enemy team just get confused. Some of my favourites include inside the bell of one of the flashpoints in survasa and on the big orange thing in the middle of lijiang towers control centre.
Doomfist when in ult near the pylon stacks up heals so when he meteor strikes down he gets a burst of 120 heal
Doesn't really matter in the end though, doom ult is the best support in the game

Illiari's pylon is like torb turrent, it'll get stuned by rein charge but break when Bob hits it
This bug was mentioned by karq. If you place pylon on the ice wall it will fall but will stay in it's spot on ice block, basically you can use both to make a floating pylon

Illari’s turret is e x a c t l y Like torbs turret, it just swaps the damage to enemies for healing for ally’s and ofc can stick to walls but other then that… all interactions are the same

Symmetra would be an interesting counter for Illari considering you could toss out a turret to stifle her healing output
Had to learn this the hard way. I used REIN'S ULT to bring down a whole team. I tried charging, but was stopped and got killed by this piece of $h!t ability. Thanks Blizzard, you always know how to surprise my death.
Here's a funny one: Load up Hollywood. Go to point B, the movie set the pay load moves through. Throw you pylon straight up to the sky. It will get stuck on the sky box.
I believe you can also deflect the pylon's healing but it's not worth it.

A weird interaction i had once was when i was playing as roadhog and the illari was behind the pylon. I hooked her and as soon as it connected the hook quickle redirected to the pylon in an instant. My hook was basically nullified but illari was shot high into the air, It was really weird.
How is this weird? It being a tangible object that you have to break to move past isn’t “weird”
A weird interaction i had once was when i was playing as roadhog and the illari was behind the pylon. I hooked her and as soon as it connected the hook bounced off to the pylon and nothing happened but illari was shot high into the air. It was so weird.
the reason why bob works is because he has 150?? burst damage on impact with any entity
A rare bug is on some maps you can toss the pylon in the crack of the stairs an sometimes it will fall into the stairs an still heal but be unable to be destroyed. i was only able to do this once or twice ever an it is were the stairs connect to the wall. an only on the old maps. i wonder if it has a terrain glitch.
not only is it not pronounced illiari, it is not spelled illiari, and these are things that anyone who has seen the hero’s name on a character select or heard her pronounce it when she spawns should know. ee-yari
Theres a bug that lists her as a support hero instesd of the broken DPS she is. Weird.

It's a standard turret with all the standard turret features, it just so happens to heal instead of damage. I found out that turrets prioritize other turrets over untargeted players back in OW1 -- Torb becomes a pretty good Sym counter in down in bronze because of that. I am surprised that Rein charge doesn't damage it, though.
Also, on the subject of turrets, lamp is a standard turret with a non-standard feature -- it is targeted by visor. Someone should check if you can teleport it. I bet that would've made Sym rush a lot more viable into double shield back in OW1.
For me its super wierd that they never recorded special voice lines for when enemy Illari have her pylon up. Instead they give it Torb turret voice liens. And it's not only confusing sometimes but also silly. My favourite is Mauga when enemy Illari pylon ,,awwww look at his little turret 🥺,,

The amount of people who don't realize you're saying the name right is crazy. Tip: Go to practice range and use echo to turn into characters with differently pronounced names (Mauga, Illari) she peonounced them the correct way.
probably a bug currently, but if you attach the pylon to Mei in cyro-freeze (her self healing ability) it will actually NOT fall down when mei gets out of the ice but just float in the air
Deadeye doesnt target it but can still be blocked by it since its a line of sight check. The same happens with other buildables like Symmetras turrets and Torbjorns turret
Damn what can dva Not absorb.. has dva ever got a nerf? I only see in patch notes dva + this and + this + matrix time and every other Char gets - everything and why do they Change orisa so hard .. why not just made a new Charakter and let orisa like she was . Now we ve 1 tank - shild
I never thought about the fact it can be teleported. So the question would be if you can pull the same trick you can do with syms turrets when you teleport them or if it won't work because the pylons hitbox is too large to be covered up by the tp 🤔
I think deadeye should target all turrets. Like give cass something worthwhile when using his ult, it’s just a glorified reload in high rank.
There’s also a glitch where if you hold L2/LT/Left Click, it’ll heal your teammates idk if it works a lot

I think it's a bug, but whenever my tank is low and I need to heal him, he'll do everything he can to avoid both my beam and pylon.
