@@jarofbees7259 don't think people will, because in the first KCD there is a mod for it. And I am pretty sure mods like that is a huge bonus to the game. Vampyr on the other hand, never got a mod like that, and I put thumb down on that game because of it. Like i know life isn't perfect, but this is a game, people are supposed to have fun. Imagine having to replay the entire game just because you want to play with different decisions (which is what you have to do in that game). Counter example, skyrim, probably the one of the best if not the best single player game ever, you get to mess with the game however you want because you are allowed to save in almost any moment you want.
@@Josh-ep6er Skyrim? Best game single player game ever created? 🤣 look man, it has downgraded elements of everything from morrowind and oblivion, except for graphics and size. If you’re wowed by pretty pictures and a lot of pixels, then that’s on you. But it’s actually a pretty mid game. Just because it’s popular (because it has mass marketed dumbed down broad appeal) doesn’t mean it’s actually good lmao. BG3 is better, obviously. Fallout New Vegas was better and was released before it. KCD has better mechanics for everything that Skyrim tried to do, except for fantasy obviously lmao. I’ve seen Minecraft mods and adventure maps with more thought put into them than the gameplay mechanics of Skyrim lmao. Skyrim is literally follow marker and mash correct buttons until you get what you want, its quests are short and simple and pitiful. It’s as wide as an ocean and as deep as a puddle. I do like it, it’s fun as a casual game to just get lost in for a few hours after work. But if I want an actual engaging RPG single player experience, I have like 30 games in my steam library that have objectively better mechanics. And I only have like 100 games lol.

The thing I remember most about the first one was being too cheap to buy food so I always ate out of the free pot of beans. In fact, every quest for me started with grabbing a scoop of beans to get rid of the hunger debuff. My world pretty revolved around that pot of beans. I hope the sequel has another ever bubbling, ever refilling, giant pot of beans just for old times' sake.
I feel quite hungry.
What I hated the most and then loved the most about this game is that you have to train your character (Henry) for all the skills you need (archery, combat, reading, alchemy, chest unlocking, ...) and for hours (literally). It's tedious at first but when you succeed, it's so satisfying.
Works for combat, you are really trash at it in the beginning, both as Henry aswell as you behind keyboard. But I spent few hours training outside of city, and I got much better myself and my stats got boosted as fuck, never having any problem with fights at all
Beers place go to the inn at the glade and just past that kill the cows in the area they respawn after you move far enough away
3:35 you have your own dog companion (i think it's that one) in the first game, his name is Mutt and he's shitty af... you have to keep him around a lot so you can train him and he gets perks to become super useful
Imagine calling my good boy shitty, u can cheese the leveling btw by just spamming to compliment him, he gains xp from that, so u can max lvl him right from the start, cant wait for kcd2 to come out fr
Theres a reason why the first one is my favourite game of all time. I highly recommend playing it.

If you like a challenging first person rpg KCD is for you. Build skills as you use them forces you to feel weak at low levels and earn the mastery you seek. Great game.
Downloading the first Deliverance game as I type this. It looks great and the feedback is overwhelmingly positive. Will look forward to playing it and the soon to be released sequel. A most timely post, Lua. Proof that gaming minds think alike.

Don't preorder. If the game is good, you can look at the reviews and buy it day 1. I love KCD, but there are plenty of examples where companies made complete flops as sequels.

There is no reason why not to play first game, if you can withstand not so great control and clunky gameplay, but stories, immersion and adventuring is definitely above all negatives

Yeeeeah but first one gives a backstory which is huge for Henrys adventure and the game still holds up awsome and yes you can pet dogs..
The first KCD is really good. I would recommend playing it as the second one supposedly picks up where the first game leaves off.

I could never truly master the combat in the first one. I hope they make it more adaptable of sorts.
If you're looking for more information about KCD2, the Czech YT gaming channel "Indian - pořad o hrách" (Indian - a show about games) published a 45 min interview with the chief designer of KCD and KDC2 Prokop Jirsa, where he explains some new features (e.g. crossbows, firearms), the creators' intentions, the game systems (e.g. reputation system) and the dilemmas creators had to solve (e.g. no children). You can find it under the title: "Rozhovor o vývoji Kingdom Come: Deliverance II s vedoucím designérem hry - PVP" (Interview about the development of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II with the game's lead designer - PVP). It's in Czech, but I convinced them to add subtitles. Hurry up before they delete my post here... ;)
Here's hoping they maintain the same or better level of historical integrity as the first game. The only issue with the first was how clunky combat controls were, so smooth that out and it'll be perfect.

Since it is supposed to be a mostly historical accurate medieval rpg I don't really see the point in that tbh. KCD 1 had plenty of awesome female characters too, without them needing to fight in the frontlines together with the men, which would just not be a thing in the 14 hundreds.
