Great info buddy. I’m totally new to this field and trying to find the best and easiest way to pre set my show lighting. So am I wrong in understanding that using something like the chauvet obey 70 once you pull the power off and go to the next venue would you lose all the scenes that you might have created for the show?

Is there a way to turn the chavet Obey 40 into a midi controller, which can then be used by a pc interface dmx controller.
Nope.
I have a Startec Single spot. I still can't program it even for sound mode or show mode
