First of all Gary loved the video editing you doing a great job very creative second the metal work is fabulous love the way you put it down. Learning so much here! !! Keep them going! CJ
another excellent video Gary. I use Coil rod and nuts for my height adjustment material. it spins up/down much faster than acme thread. not as precise but works well. heck of a lot less umms and uhhhs as your channel grows too. I definitely will steal this idea.
Ozzstar Thanks man, yea I have tried to start making the videos a little more entertaining and less boring by keeping the action moving, appreciate you watching!
Good and fast but I'm no full timer so I doubt I'd invest in 4. I do have four of the bottom style without the uprights I got for a song. Super handy. I do either the top and bottom or two sides then clamp to the table and put in the other 4 pieces. A little more time consuming for sure.
Nice! I have 4 of the 90 degree welding clamps and it would be nice to put them on stands. Great idea! I use muriatic acid to get rid of plating on nuts and bolts for welding - should work on galvanized coatings too.
Karl Gabel Karl, yes, I built that a couple of weeks ago, if you go to my main channel page, you will see the video there, it's the last video before this one.
1970chevelle396 Thanks man, yea, it's just using hte green screen feature, unfortunately I didn't have a green background, so it didnt workout that well, but it was just more for fun ...
You used Matt's favorite primer! LOL!... Are you using a 4k go pro and editing the pans in post? Whatever you're doing, I'm enjoying it. I'm in for metalwork Monday, Sunday or any other day.
Greg's Garage Using a Gopro 4 silver, but not 4K, only 1080i. I thought about going the 4 black, but didn't need all the features, and didn't like the fact that it doesn't have a lcd display on it, and you have to use an iphone/blutooth to see what your recording. I started using some different editing software a few weeks back, it's taken me a while to figure out how to use it well... Thanks for watching!
mustie1 Well, Went for years with just basic tools, using a make shift MDF table for welding, etc, so decided to invest in some tools to make things easier for trying to start this side business...
Thanks Terry. I ended up buying 2 new jacobs chucks, one keyless and one regular one, they are both head and shoulders better than the piece of junk that came with the drill, one quick tighten up on either of them and they hold good with no issues with the bit slipping.
I enjoy your videos and appreciate the knowledge you impart. May I suggest the use of a body-mounted microphone like a lavalier rather than relying on the mike in the camera or a general omnidirectional mike? For me, the audio is difficult to process because of the echo and it sounds rather tinny to me, and the volume increases and decreases, too. Thanks for your content!.
Shut Yer Face Garage Just typical, of me constantly talking to myself, this time it actually somehow got captured on video, but yea, it pretty much happens all day
+William Wooden The ironworking companys ive worked for have the same size magnetic drills but without any stand or anything. Just a portable one and my boss said it was $3000. They arnt cheap.
you should use the jigs and build a stand for the chop saw and get it off the floor , i see you run Eastwood welder & plasma , i cut a shit load of 1/2 steel with their 60 amp plasma , will ck out some of your builds .
targetshooter2 go to my main channel page and checkout my more recent videos, I did indeed build a stand for the chop saw! good to hear you have had good luck with the plasma, so far I haven't been pleased with it...
which plasma do you have the 40 or 60 amp ? i have the 60 amp bought the combo 200 ac-dc tig and the 60 amp plasma cutter off of a ebay sale . a good ground and learning how muchstand ff of the tip and it cuts good .
+targetshooter2 Sorry just saw this comment. I have the 60 amp unit. I think some of the problem i have had is related to too much moisture in my air lines. Going to remedy that the next time i use it.
here's a tip. Annular cutters will last three times as long if they are not cutting through hot rolled millscale. - Also millscale will brush off after 24 hours soaking in white vinegar. Nice shop., Glenn www.flickr.com/photos/davisglenn
No joke here but an old welder told me that if you do weld galvanized, you should drink a glass of milk afterwards. Something in the milk either dilutes the nasty stuff from the welding process or helps you not to absorb the stuff.
When fitting steel in this manner you need to leave a gap or bevel the edges for complete fusion or you dont really have a weld . If you butt the metal end to end only works for welding thin sheet metal and using tig. I have seen many weld failures because of incomplete fusion due to this type of poor fitting practice.
cigarcaptain Oh yea, I watch all of Diresta's videos, the ones on his channel, the ones he does for Make.com, and also his brother has a channel as well with some cool videos, and yes, I am copying their style of editing!
Really enjoying these videos. I've never seen this stuff before. Those clamps are really cool.
Shut Yer Face Garage Thanks sir
Nice welding Gary. I've never seen clamps like this before. Pretty cool project.
Thanks man!
Love the editing super job. That looks like it's going to be useful! I enjoy watching the metalwork.
thank you sir! appreciate you watching...

very nice set up.Really enjoying these videos later
265chevy Thanks Hanson, appreciate it!
well done Gary and it's great to hear u again
Jim Rowlings Thanks Jim, always appreciate you watching!
very cool project and all the vids I have watched you are always doing something cool nice tooling as well
+Chris Mansker Thanks Chris, hopefully we will be back to making some more cool vids soon
Nice job putting the video together. The effects and camera angles
Ozzstar Thanks man, yea I have tried to start making the videos a little more entertaining and less boring by keeping the action moving, appreciate you watching!
Very handy thing to have. I've been making a few jigs here lately, really speeds up the builds. :)
+Beach N Wheelchairs Indeed! So you build wheelchairs for people?
+turbocobra Yes I build powered beach wheelchairs. It's very rewarding getting people back out on the beach for some fun and sun. :D
very nice work always doing something cool
chad oneil Thanks Chad, appreciate you watching!

Thanks Karl, didn't know about using muriatic acid to remove the coatings. I actually have some, will give it a try next time. Thanks for watching!
Do you have any more info on the cool mag drill table you used in the video? Is this something you built?
Karl Gabel Karl, yes, I built that a couple of weeks ago, if you go to my main channel page, you will see the video there, it's the last video before this one.
Very nice rigging, but how do you compensate if the floor is less than flat?
Those bolts make me happy. You don't see people use giant nuts and bolts that often.
Do the stands have some way to adjust for irregular floors? What happens if one stand is in a low spot on the concrete floor?
Great editing. I've always wanted to put my twin brother in the videos. But I've never been able to figure out how to do that.
1970chevelle396 Thanks man, yea, it's just using hte green screen feature, unfortunately I didn't have a green background, so it didnt workout that well, but it was just more for fun ...

I figured you were 4k because the zooms are smooth and detailed. I like what you've been doing. Makes me think you have a camera guy.
look at you with all that fancy stuff,,
mustie1 Well, Went for years with just basic tools, using a make shift MDF table for welding, etc, so decided to invest in some tools to make things easier for trying to start this side business...
+mustie1 Not too fancy. Eastwood welders and using a shitty $50 Harbor Freight welding table like the rest of us mortals.
Did you stick an Evolution blade on the DeWalt saw?
Watchin' and enjoyin'
snocrushr thanks for watching!
finally catching up on some vids.,.. awesome...
Thanks for watching Gerald, good to have you stop by..
Nice job brother
Nice , wish I had the time to make some
Looking good.
Thanks Terry. I ended up buying 2 new jacobs chucks, one keyless and one regular one, they are both head and shoulders better than the piece of junk that came with the drill, one quick tighten up on either of them and they hold good with no issues with the bit slipping.
Cool vices

I've watched many of your vids on fabricating and was wondering when you will build a fume extractor?
+bryquentros Definitely need one, but no plans to build one yet.
i love how the room cladding says "keep away from open flame - combustible" and hes welding close by
Nice ! Metal work Sunday! 2 Gary's is better than one?
Shut Yer Face Garage Just typical, of me constantly talking to myself, this time it actually somehow got captured on video, but yea, it pretty much happens all day
Man, I love the way you drilled through the plates using the mag drill. Was the mag drill very expensive? And were was it purchased from.
+William Wooden The ironworking companys ive worked for have the same size magnetic drills but without any stand or anything. Just a portable one and my boss said it was $3000. They arnt cheap.
Great idea. Perfect for guys with small shops no?
Michael Nilsson Thanks for watching Michael, your exactly right, definitely good for small shops!
I was kinda wanting to see the completed table to see if it worked ?

buenazo donde puedo conseguir esas prensas por favor agradecere su respuesta
Por dios! necesito dos vidas para tener todo el herramental que tiene el señor. :(
hello , what is the reference of the Cutting Edge Metal on your dewalt ?
Thank you
nice,,it will need steady floor to work on it..
Those clamps are not cheap. Wish I had one or two.
Great looking fixtures Gary.
What tooth blade are you running in your chop saw?
cecil6711 Thanks Cecil. Not sure on the # of teeth on the blade, it's a 14" tungsten carbide tipped metal cutting blade.
here's a tip.
Annular cutters will last three times as long if they are not cutting through hot rolled millscale. - Also millscale will brush off after 24 hours soaking in white vinegar.
Nice shop.,
Glenn

excellent tip. I have removed the mill scale with muriatic acid before, but haven't tried vinegar
White vinegar is not going to remove milscale.
Tec 9
Yes it does - soak the part for 24 hrs and use a little wire brush and it just comes off. Don't knock it till ya try it.
Sounds extremely painful.
Take the slip handles off and weld nuts to get them even closer.
No joke here but an old welder told me that if you do weld galvanized, you should drink a glass of milk afterwards. Something in the milk either dilutes the nasty stuff from the welding process or helps you not to absorb the stuff.
Rudderify Rudder, I have also heard that too, not sure if it really works or not, but it sure can't hurt!
muy bien.
Fastest spraycan in the west !!
who makes those clamps??
stronghand tools
very good idea
+SupaLexy (SupaNautica & MotoLexy) thanks

Где можно купить?
What kind of design is this ? Very strange.
Welding galv? Just keep.a gallon jug of whole milk at the weld bench take a huge swig every weld.
Jimmy Diresta, check him out if haven't already.
cigarcaptain Oh yea, I watch all of Diresta's videos, the ones on his channel, the ones he does for Make.com, and also his brother has a channel as well with some cool videos, and yes, I am copying their style of editing!
genius
One of these units will be enough...
Why are your welders in jail? 😜
Nice concept but not necessary.
Speaking to well but too lengthy
you hav the maturiol and you hav not the bast aidia
One of these units will be enough...
