My wife and I have been to Grenada, one of our favorites, nicest people!! P.S: avoid the Grand Anise beach when the cruise ship is in town, it gets really crowded and messy.
Oh no way! We don’t come across too many people who have been here. Most people we talk to about it think it’s in Spain 😅 Fortunately it’s not cruise ship season at the moment so not sure there will be any in whilst we’re here, hopefully we won’t experience that but that’s good to know, thank you ❤️
My friend in Canada sent me this video so I can see Foodie's 😂😊 I'm so happy you guys stopped in and enjoyed your roti. Have a wonderful vacation, Grenada is definitely one of the most beautiful island 🏝 in the Caribbean and we happy to see you guys enjoying it😊❤
@@TheWholeWorldorNothing yes they do, and loud as they blast music lol and can be a little too fast for my liking. Ours usually dont leave until they are full... so imagine being the first person and being in a hurry lol.... its a long trip. lol
I know, I'm a bit daft, but the place you're staying in reminded me of the big family home you rented in Morocco - just a bit of the layout, style/structure . . . . . anyway, looking forward to seeing your adventure!
It's really great to see a different type of travel and to a very cool place! We went to Grenada 6 years ago and used the buses, it's definitely an experience isn't it 😂 We loved how many flip down seats there were!
No way! Yeah the buses are fun, the flip downs are brilliant and we love how the conductor will just perch themselves by the door facing backwards when it gets too full 😅
We would love to make it down that way! Our van definitely wouldn’t make it as it is, we’d have to do some big mods. Maybe sometime in the future though 😀❤️
Hari OM Wonderful! My experience of the Caribbean is from St Lucia... and being a tropical gal, I totally loved it. Your holiday home is gorgeous! Roti is the Hindi word for bread - so am guessing there must be some Indian influence in the food as well as the obvious African connection. Am excited for you three getting to experience this and looking forward to whatever else you get to show us. YAM xx
We’ve not been to St Lucia (apart from the plane stopping there on the way to Grenada but don’t think that counts 😅) but we’ve heard great things. Yes lots of Indians were shipped to Grenada as indentured labour in the early 1800s which is where that influence on the food originates from. The history here is just incredible, we hope to be able to incorporate a bit more into future videos. Hope you’re well ❤️
@@TheWholeWorldorNothing I look forward to your take on it all; I am familiar with the indentured worker situation from OZ, where many Indians were brought in for the sugar cane industry in QLD... and I would mention that one of my favourite podcasts, which has covered in depth the history of the British in India, then the Ottomans, has spent the past three months deep diving into the history of slavery and Granada gets a mention or two... I highly recommend this program for anyone who has an interest in this sort of social history; it is called EMPIRE and the presenters are Anita Anand and William Dalrymple. Hugs and Love to you. YAM xx
Hey am in Grenada on the island I love the van life style I do it off and on I visited carrieacou for a few days Have you visited there I live the van life and travels
Oh no way! That’s really cool. We haven’t visited Carriacou this time round but have been briefly before, really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely go next time we come back as well ❤️
Get to the countryside, endless fruits and vegetables, you are safe in Grenada 🇬🇩 the locals will see to that, they will put a cutass on anyone trying to hurt another person.
Best choice ever. Enjoy, beautiful video .
Thank you very much! We’re loving it ❤️

That curry roti looked well tasty! Enjoy yourselves!
It was great! Love a good roti 😀😋
That's what we call Kombis in southern Africa, a small bus with about 20 people getting in and out everywhere.. So cool to see this in the Caribbeans.
Ah interesting! Yeah they’re really fun to ride, the only thing is they get so hot 😅❤️
