  • In this video we are installing the B&G Halo 20+ Radar dome with a Seaview Radar mount and a B&G Wired Wind Sensor. Ascending the mast for the first time proved scary and challenging, but if we want to sail around the world, we have to do these things. I've already apologized to the crew for the things I said while I was up the mast lol. We'll be back next week with another update video on all the other projects. If you want to see the weekly update on what we're up to, or if you'd like to support the work we're doing, consider joining Patreon at the link below! Thanks for watching!

    Ahhh, the joys of installing a radar and wind sensor…and then I found there was no way to pull the cable through the mast without stepping the mast. Hello Bluetooth….problem solved. Worked well for me. Doing a fine job, Chase! Learning tons, building wisdom, and look at the stories you’ll get to share at the watering hole?!!!! Sail on, Braddah! 🤙

    Were you this brave and tenacious the whole time you were growing up? You scare me, but you're exciting and enjoyable. Thanks.

    Omg I couldn’t go up that high let alone function. Lol. Good job! ❤. Question - did the refrigerator get installed? What about the solar panels? Are they fixed?

      It was scary! But you get used to it! You could do it for sure. The refrigerator is installed and so are the solar panels! That work will be wrapped up in next week's video

    What are you doing with all those bucket lids?

    • @ChasingGrace21
      @ChasingGrace21  5 месяцев назад

      They're lids for some home gardening setups (stored in buckets) we are delivering those and a bunch of relief supplies to the Abacos soon!

    You should put a loop and not have the wire straight into the hole it will help stop water tracking straight down the cable all the way to the other end

      I’ll literally do that today! Great advice, seems so obvious now that you’ve told me

    No drip loop,wrong rivets installation,that a use lees person

      Yup, completely useless.

      That commenter needn't be rude - but they are correct about the drip loop and the rivets. No way something that big can be safely installed with a little pop rivet gun. A much more powerful tool and larger rivets are needed for this job, drip loops are a must.@@ChasingGrace21
