@@BIGPILGRIM420 I wouldn't say that about Splatoon 2's multiplayer soundtrack. It wasn't bad, but for me it was pretty forgettable compared to the multiplayer soundtrack of the first game. Splatoon 3's soundtrack however is a big improvement over 2's.
@@Cephonster idk, i feel like twos has way more variety, with wetfloors uniquely muffled sound, the folk style celtic music of bottom feeders, ink theories fun and crazy jazz, the insanity of omega three, diss-pairs sheer violent energy, the chill lofi of dedf1sh, sashimori being maybe the most unique band in the series, using spliced human recordings from long ago to make inkling language, i feel like every band in splatoon two has a unique and memorable purpose, at least to me

It's nice to see the musicians credited at the end of the video! They weren't shown for either of the Splatoon 1 and Splatoon 2 music video's, so that little detail means a whole lot.
I find it really interesting how every time they did a video like this before and focused on a non-idol multiplayer song, they didn’t show the vocalists. Really cool to actually get to see them this time around, and see their names in the credits!

I think Splatoon music is one of those soundtracks where it sounds so strange to both veteran fans and new fans of the series but at the same time also sounds so fun and energetic.
@@keeperfan1315 We technically already know who Ichiya's VA is thanks to the official Splatoon soundtrack albums. There are even a few pictures of him in the Splatoon wiki but sadly no footage of his recording sessions has been shown.

@@ActualAlien_ It sucks how Splatoon 2 at launch had more 6 years ago than what 3 has. Quality of life improvements are great but having them stretched across 3 months is killing the game for me.
The reason you can't choose a song is because they sync the song for everyone in the match. They do this mainly because you're able to hear people coming to fight you easier during quiet parts of songs. Since, for example, Clickbait and Candy Coated Rocks have different parts that are louder than other parts, they need to have everyone hear the same song to keep things fair. That said, we do desperately need more songs. Listening to the same ones over and over is starting to get annoying, ad any variety is appreciated.
@@cosmicXtropics In what way did Splatoon 2 have more at launch than Splatoon 3? Splatoon 2 had 8 normal maps at launch, 2 salmon run maps, and not even all base weapon kits. Splatoon 3 launched with 12 normal maps, 3 salmon run maps, and 1 kit for each base weapon. I get coming from Splatoon 2 and feeling like 3 is lacking in stages and weapons, but 3 objectively had more at launch than 2, and will probably have more at the end of its updates than 2 had as well.
@@Zach_thrilling Here's some things: free seasonal cosmetics, seasonal events in general, traversal compact square, various available merch to obtain, and of course unique splatfest stages. The variety in 2 was better because in 3 they are limiting cosmetics to an unguaranteed season pass stifling the games full potential. Why should we have to wait for previously released stages on the same console? Basically took the overwatch 2 model and somehow made it worse... Sequels are supposed to improve, not fall behind the same flaws the last one had, sure they did minor enhancements but it's not game changing, it's the same formula with different weapons. Off the bat, the launch isn't that different and that's the problem, 4 stages is nothing when it's just painting the ground in a different shape. There's no stage hazards besides moats and strategic platforming which can be easily overcome. DLC doesn't look to change gameplay either so hoping for even a glimpse at possible future enhancements is all someone like me can do once this season is over. It's tragic game design and I wish people would be less accepting of incomplete games especially sequels, ESPECIALLY from Nintendo aka the company backed on a seal of quality....

the whole splatoon series just goes to show that when you put a bunch of people towards a common goal who are driven, passionate and insanely talented, you get masterpieces like splatoon and its ost :)

Haven't played splatoon 3 yet, but after seeing how fun it looks I think i have to get it!
It’s an amazing game, not only is it fun but they also put so much effort into attention to detail and overall worldbuilding.
Gameplay is great and fast paced, music and customization is phenomenal, and story is actually good this time unlike the 1 and 2’s basic story modes
