We’ve all talked about the need for a rebuild and that we can’t do the same next year, where we stand at present, name positions that don’t need upgraded? I honestly think we should get behind Clement however what’s our style? It would be easier if we had a definite playing style to buy players for each position. For me a new DMF is needed and get Sterling at RB. Moving him about is only going to unsettle him

This 'different way in leadership' talk has held us back for too long. We dont need a calm, quiet and shy leader. We need a vocal and authoritve leader. This is Rangers and we play Scottish football against aggressive players. Stick with the shy and calm captain and we will continue to get bullied.

Very hard to agree with anything youve said about Tav, with regards to him being dropped. He has to be dropped. Hes stinking the place out and costing us goals. Its that simple. We have sterling and now the dutch boy. They have to be given a chance. He will go down as one of the worst captains in the clubs history when you look at what matters. Trophies. For me, I’d only strip him cause I wouldn’t play him. If you are advocating for him to be captain, you are essentially saying he should start every week. We gonna keep him as captain and drop him for Celtic games? Get a grip lads. I’m not bothered about his leadership. I can’t measure that. Some talk and some lead by example. I cannot see how he is doing either personally. I want my captain starting first and foremost after that, you can choose the guy from there. Sterling is the better right back. That’s it settled. A captain who has seen off more managers than has won trophies for this club speaks volumes! Like so many players in recent years Tav has tarnished his legacy by not leaving on his own accord or being moved on by the club when he was still profitable & in good form. This is not a throw Tav under the bus rant, but he is past it & is now a hindrance to the clubs development. He is not alone in this but like Kent & Morelos before him he falls under the category that is best summed up by stealing a quote from the Dark Knight....."You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain". But 5 trophy's in a decade is not good enough for a Rangers captain, I also don't agree that active club players should be inducted into the hall of fame & at this point I feel Tav is just happy to just trundle along this season in order to get a Testimonial.......Now i would like to see the manager make a tough decision & remove Tav from playing RB, if we continue with Tav at RB we will achieve nothing, teams will just overload on him & we will just end up hating him & blaming him every week, but Clement could be bold & remove Tav from the RB position & move him into a MF role, not RW but part of the MF unit playing more inverted, Tav still has qualities & attributes that we can utilise but not as a RB, he has lost a yard or two & any player with pace & power has him on toast. Disagree with Chris about being a different team with what Tavernier provides. Hes not provided it in 9 months going forward. So starting Sterling you’re instantly upgrading your defence. And his energy will give you something going forward. Tav hasn’t been high and crossing with quality for long enough.

We shouldn't be looking for our RB to score 20 plus goals a season. Sterling should replace Tavernier and if he grabs a few assists and a couple of goals then that's fine. Properly defending the wing is something we should be prioritising and Tavernier is incapable of doing that job

The captain has to set the tone and organise the team. The defence is a shambles… (mostly because Tav gets caught out of position or refuses to track back) You just need to look at his body language, he doesn’t seem to care. Yet again after a defeat he’s nowhere to be seen… why is Butland doing a presser but Tav won’t? Hes happy to do them when we win though isn’t he? I applaud Tav for all his goal contributions over the years but he’s never been a great captain/leader. He blames other players for his own failings, he shows no leadership qualities or organisational skills and he’s an embarrassment at the back. His time at Rangers is up, I hate saying it and I hate to slander one of our own but it’s the cold hard truth… he’s just not the leader we need. Very hard to agree with anything youve said about Tav, with regards to him being dropped. He has to be dropped. Hes stinking the place out and costing us goals. Its that simple. We have sterling and now the dutch boy. They have to be given a chance.

For me, I’d only strip him cause I wouldn’t play him. If you are advocating for him to be captain, you are essentially saying he should start every week. Lads a blind man can see Tav is miles off form. Cantwell was dropped for less and sold. We went into another crucial game with TEN men against the biggest club in Scotland. Stop saying this team is what everyone wanted? Tav is dragging this team down with his lack of pace and can't defend (could he ever?) The manager needs to drop him ( call it injured to save face) and get Sterling in that position. The captaincy can go to anyone who stands out ..
A team should fear their captain to an extent
A captain who has seen off more managers than has won trophies for this club speaks volumes! Like so many players in recent years Tav has tarnished his legacy by not leaving on his own accord or being moved on by the club when he was still profitable & in good form. This is not a throw Tav under the bus rant, but he is past it & is now a hindrance to the clubs development. He is not alone in this but like Kent & Morelos before him he falls under the category that is best summed up by stealing a quote from the Dark Knight....."You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain". I am not & never have been Tavs biggest fan at times but I'm old enough to acknowledge there has been times where we wouldn't of achieved certain things without him, he was integral in winning 55 & reaching the Europa league final. But 5 trophy's in a decade is not good enough for a Rangers captain, I also don't agree that active club players should be inducted into the hall of fame & at this point I feel Tav is just happy to just trundle along this season in order to get a Testimonial.......Now i would like to see the manager make a tough decision & remove Tav from playing RB, if we continue with Tav at RB we will achieve nothing, teams will just overload on him & we will just end up hating him & blaming him every week, but Clement could be bold & remove Tav from the RB position & move him into a MF role, not RW but part of the MF unit playing more inverted, Tav still has qualities & attributes that we can utilise but not as a RB, he has lost a yard or two & any player with pace & power has him on toast. Only time will tell.

Disagree with Chris about being a different team with what Tavernier provides. Hes not provided it in 9 months going forward. So starting Sterling you’re instantly upgrading your defence. And his energy will give you something going forward. Tav hasn’t been high and crossing with quality for long enough.

We shouldn't be looking for our RB to score 20 plus goals a season. Sterling should replace Tavernier and if he grabs a few assists and a couple of goals then that's fine. Properly defending the wing is something we should be prioritising and Tavernier is incapable of doing that job

The captain has to set the tone and organise the team. The defence is a shambles… (mostly because Tav gets caught out of position or refuses to track back)
You just need to look at his body language, he doesn’t seem to care. Yet again after a defeat he’s nowhere to be seen… why is Butland doing a presser but Tav won’t? Hes happy to do them when we win though isn’t he?
I applaud Tav for all his goal contributions over the years but he’s never been a great captain/leader. He blames other players for his own failings, he shows no leadership qualities or organisational skills and he’s an embarrassment at the back.
His time at Rangers is up, I hate saying it and I hate to slander one of our own but it’s the cold hard truth… he’s just not the leader we need.
We need a strong, determined leader who will kick people up the ar*e, hold players accountable on and off the pitch along with taking accountability for his own failings.
It’s not all on him of course but teams have a captain for a reason and he’s not meeting the required criteria to lead this team.
