Thank you!
6:08 my heart stopped for a second.
Don't scare me like that 😅
haha
Excellent! Time to start another piece of my armor. 😊 I've been meaning to ask how big that dome is on your forming/rivet anvil you're using?
It is part of a set with multiple sizes available actually.
Looks Great! TFS, GB :)
👍
Awsomn) tips for laser appreciateD:)
👍
Where does one find the dome shaping platform you used to do the rounding on the piece? I've been looking everywhere for one.
Check the academy site, it has a tool recommendation area there.
@@Princearmory I did some research and I found some domed anvils, they're too expensive for me as a hobbyist. I will have to shape the pieces another way.
What song did you use for the video it is quite beautiful
I don't recall but I get all my music from Epidemic Sound currently
Curiously is there a reason to pick Weaver Leather over Tandy Leather???
Both have supported these tutorials and this channel, and both have a very broad catalog of products and both offer competitive pricing. I still order from both if that tells you anything, and I order more from Weaver, if that tells you anything, but it depends on a case by case and item by item basis.
In the last set, the greaves were attached to the knees. I wonder how these would look attached to the sabatons, making a boot cover?
At the end of this video I show the greaves loosely paired with the sabatons in this set, that is aproximiabely how they will look when worn together which does cover the entire foot. I hope to do a full suit reveal with it being worn this time.
Lots of rivets on this one. Lets say a buckle was put on backwards or the wrong piece got attached to the wrong part. What is the best way to remove the rivet(s) so as not to mar the leather, or brass was used and black looks better?
Adam
Look forward to the gauntlets tutorial, I have a segment in there for that topic.
I think I may have to do this set in metal.....
It's totally possible. There would be some extra steps you'd want to take to make sure it fits comfortably though. And you'll have to shape the pieces before riveting them, and the riveting process would be different. Well, if you have some experience with metal working you can do it easily but I won't have a tutorial out for metal projects for a while most likely.
@@Princearmory yea I am an apprentice coldsmith specialising in armor, but you are right there is going to be some extra steps. I have already made some armor pieces that was based off a pattern for Eva foam.
Tell me what kind of music starts playing at 7:25? thx!
I don't recall but I get all my music from Epidemic Sound currently
