A friend of mine used to work at Starbucks, and something she would do would be to make up custom frappuccinos based on characters or celebrities we liked. I always loved it, not just because the results were usually tasty, but also because it was just a lot of fun hearing her reasoning for why she included which flavors. This reminds me a lot of that, and I'd definitely love to see more! As a suggestion, maybe... a recipe representing each of the Theory channels?

I love how Santi almost feels like a second host in this video, it's so genius how they're trying to smoothly get us used to the new hosts without removing Mat from the videos altogether, and it's working!

The way you guys interpret how IP cookbooks should be made is amazing! It feels so simple yet I'm not sure I've heard of anything like that existing. I'd honestly love to just see more of it in general! Be it FNAF, or something else, I'm here for it! Great work as always!
The Official Adventure Time Cookbook is apparently really good, as the framing device is of a regular cookbook Finn and his friends find that has several pages missing and so they each make custom recipes with their writing that incorporates their personalities and what kinds of food they like. It's not bad, I think.

I just wanna point out, the Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge cookbook is hands-down the BEST IP-based cookbook I’ve ever seen. Thematically appropriate, the dishes look cool, and the recipes are all actually pretty good. Every IP cookbook should strive to be at that level.
It's so sad seeing MatPat go, but I think Santi is a good fit for taking over Food Theory. The guy is clearly talented when it comes to culinary skills since he was able to come up with these recipes

This was such a fun episode. I’m not a chef, but my brother is and I would love to convince him to make these meals with me. It also feels like a great way to join Game Theory and Food Theory. And Santi did such a good job with his dishes, it feels like a crime not to see him make more

I have to admit, I was skeptical of Santi at first because.. well, no one can replace MatPat. But judging by the record speed he understood FNAF Lore, his sense of humor, how animated he is, and his clear skills in the kitchen, I think we're in good hands
Seeing Santi and Matpat banter in the middle of the theory was both refreshing but hurtful. Knowing it was occuring to give Santi more familiarity with the channel, but also experiencing the first age communicate with the second real-time was something we never really had before this. It's heartbreaking, but I'm excited to see what Santi can do.
I'm no, Santi is bland and mildly annoying. I would hate to see any more of him than I have to.

I got my little brother this cookbook for christmas, he loves all the recipes and has tabbed like 20 of them. Thank you Mat, for giving my brother more recipes to inspire his little culinary heart.
You and Stephanie I really hope come back for episodes like these, where Santi and you guys try something either together or separate. They're hilarious and informative. Santi is a great person to take over the channel. Obviously, nobody can fully replace you, but I think he'll be my favorite to take over the channel out of the 4. We love you MatPat!

I think that, to date one of the most fun Franchise Cookbooks I've seen is the Fallout one
It's supposed to be an in-universe cookbook from a Vault, but the book has a bunch of doodles and scribbles from some Wastelander who found the book and crosses out ingredients that don't exist anymore with Wasteland Equivalents. Like replacing Pork with Deathclaw meat, Beef with Brahim or Cream Cheese with Wonderglue
Watching this video feels so bittersweet. It’s nice seeing there will be at least a few more videos with Matpat but knowing he’ll be leaving soon makes it feel almost empty. Well all miss you Matpat, thank you for everything you’ve done these past 14 years. Santi is doing fantastic, I’m glad the channel is left in good hands :’)

Just from the brief glimpse of Santi as a narrator, I can tell he's going to be a wonderful replacement in the future that brings his own unique charm to the role, while not feeling so different that it comes across as out of place or uncanny.

I hope people who are still trying to stick with the channels post matpat, give these new hosts a chance to prove themselves. Of course they are not mat but they don't need to be him.
Ofc very sentimental over MatPat's retiring, but I'd also like to mention how entertaining Santi is in these videos and his clear skill with not only cooking but actually putting these recipes together. I couldn't think of anyone better to head this channel in MatPat's absence.

@@RotheAlienShe was pressed that it was being called a calzone. Notice how her complaint was "we're basically making a stromboli", not "this isn't Italian and therefore it's inedible". The italian-ness of the dish was not the issue for her.

10:00 The reason your crust turned into a loaf is you didn't give the dough enough time to ferment, the yeast was still producing carbon dioxide. Normally you want to rest the dough until it expands 2x its size then beat it back into submission, the gluten should make it able to stretch a piece into a window pane without it tearing. IT will expand less and be easier to stretch and roll out.

Yeah this might be a little bit of a strech, but honestly i think you guys should just make new recipes for every character in the cookbook. Yunno give em all recipes that make sense for their character because this is so interesting and i really like how the three recipes you made in the video came out. Plus i enjoy how you explain how the dish relates back to the character. And if that's too much id like to see the each member of the Afton family get a dish or maybe even the Emily 's (Elizabeth, Crying child, Michael, Mrs. Afton) now that you have William. That or Baby. I feel like she'd have something ice cream related.
