I know that beach so well. It was a saviour during Covid, sitting down the far end having seafood by the rocks. Its not for everyone's taste as there are no 5 star resorts but its tranquil, good food what more do you want?
Well enjoy the public footpath access because once you reach Hua Hin there is no beachfront roads, paths, public areas - only private hotel & condo frontage on the beach with some lanes for you to get to the beach.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream I lived in Hua Hin for 1 year before returning back to the Eastern corridor. I lived in the absolute centre of the city foreshore at a premium location. Greate condo, amazing surroundings, great beach, BUT ... overall the city strip is a little bit of a hotel strip, and the beach access is limited. Now I live in Cha Am's absolute mirror opposite ... If you draw a perfect 90' line from Cha Am across the gulf you reach Bang Saray - my home town. 👍😃
i went to cha am for my holidays for 5 years 2014-2019 7 times all great holidays..cha am is a wonderful place if you just want to kick back and chill out... and yes the food is amazing ...... some great restaurants as well .
An Enjoyable trip, did not like the cracked windscreen from a stone from a bus outside of Bangkok. Replacement next week. Apart from that a great weekend.
Great video mate. Cha Am was one of my first places to retire. However, I need to snorkel at least once a week or dive 2 times a month combined. I need to go to Ao Nang area at the least. Great video as usual.
Another great Vlog Les mate. I've never been there to the beach, had a few meetings nearby but didn't realise how nice the beach area was. I will be sure to visit there next time. keep them up mate
Eaten at the beach buffet afew times Les, good food as you say. For anyone who likes seafood, take drive to the seafood market at the north end of town. Fresh off the boats and cooked for you while you wait. Cha am does get very busy at weekends as you suggested, many Thai people come down from Bangkok and the beach just off the road is packed with parked cars but come Monday they have all gone and it's quiet again.
Hi and thanks for your comment, no real recommendations sorry but plenty of choice to get back to the Airport, taxi taxi vans and public transport all not expensive. Enjoy it is a nice place. The hotel we stayed in was a nice one.
Hi les being in touch a few times asking you about where you Iive and thinking of retiring in Thailand still looking But came across this place and Hua hin and I liked it what did you think compared to where you live Only seen other utubers cheers mate 😊
I think Hua Hin is more upmarket that CHA AM. But it all depends on your budget CHA AM in my mind your money gets you more but entertainment wise Hua Hin is better. But I am sure the guys who live there have the answers your looking for. Thanks for taking time to comment.
@@RetiredandLivingthedream It wasn't a negative criticism Les. I didn't know if you had realised it. It was a positive for future awareness. Stay safe pal 🙏
