- Cha-am is an amazing beach town located about 174 km south of Bangkok and 30 km north of Hua Hin. It’s a popular vacation spot for Thais that want to escape from the city and relax on the coast. Cha-am is much more sedated than Hua Hin to the south and more of a locals beach compared to having the larger resorts.
This is a wonderful market for some amazing Thai food as well as shopping in Cha-am Thailand. Located near the train station and right next to the Fresh Market, this outdoor market sets up in the evening from 5-8 pm.
There is something for everyone here from tradition Thai street food to more a mix of western dishes.
The market is near the train station and easy to get to. The best time to visit it is Saturday and Sundays. On Wednesday the much larger market is open closer to the train station in the government buildings parking lot and is often confused with this one.

Cha-am is just north of Hua Hin and a popular tourist destination. It’s easy to get there by train from Bangkok. Here is a video showing what it’s like if you want to see more.

oh different from the big one!
@@kyogofurahashi it’s near the Wednesday night market that is only open on Wednesday night. This one is open everyday. I’m sure many of the vendors set up in both depending on the day.
The fresh seafood is so cheap compared to the farang tourist areas. Amazing! 🎉
@@ma3stro681 ya the touristy markets charge a lot more for rent and that cost is passed on to the customers. I like to explore different places. Cha-am still has a lot of the local Thai feel and fun to see. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed the video.
Never been to this market.
@@jimshelley8831 the Wednesday market closer to the train station is much better but this one is still pretty good.
