How To Uninstall Facebook App On Samsung Phone

- I guess you want to know how to uninstall Facebook app on Samsung phones right ? Because i also do and i couldn't find the uninstall button to delete the Facebook application completely from my Samsung, I did read that disabling the app will stop it from working but i can hardly believe that and specially with Facebook.
And also don't be surprised that there is not just the main Facebook app actually there's three other ones and they all related to it but they are hidden from you and i will show them to you in the video.
And after doing some research i did find out a way to completely uninstall all the Facebook apps without having to root my Samsung device using the ADB software that can delete all the pre-installed bloatware easily, And the trick doesn't require any technical knowledge and also without having to install any software or applications on your phone.
The only thing you will need is a laptop and Chrome browser and a USB cable and of course your Samsung phone.
Enable USB Backend from : Chrome://flags

pm uninstall --user 0 com.facebook.katana
pm uninstall --user 0 com.facebook.system

The USB Backend option did become enabled by default afterwards on Windows, So if you cant find it on Chrome's Flags settings that means its enabled already so just go on with the steps and it will work just fine.
And the last step is to HIT THAT LIKE BUTTON 👍

Question: is there a way to remove Facebook without having to install Chrome (nor ADB for the desktop)? You said in the video that you don't have to install anything, which is misleading. Not *everybody* uses Chrome. Personally I prefer Firefox.
Thank you. It works. Can i use this also to delete dubble apps I find another chrome, google play service, samsung note and settings I don't see these apps in the dual app setting, I don't know what happend. Is my phone maybe hacked? I hope you can help me with this

So you have two Chrome browsers on your phone ? make sure its not the same one tho.
And also GooglePlay Services are required in order for PlayStore to work properly and its normal for Android phones to have them, And for Samsung note is just a note from the phone manufacturer but you can Uninstall it with this trick as well.
Actually you can uninstall any pre installed apps using this trick by simply changing the app package which is "com.facebook.services" in this case with the name for the app you want to remove.
And to see the package name for the app simply install an app from PlayStore called "Package Name Viewer 2" and it will show you the package name for all the applications thats installed on your phone.
And also check the that chrome app with the package name viewer to see if has a different package name than the original Chrome, And if it doesn't then you should remove it.

It’s absurd how hard they make it to uninstall Facebook. Anyways, thank you for showing us how to do it! Honestly my love for Android has grown because you have more freedom over the software, unlike IOS which I used to have before.
Yeah right, Its really annoying that you need to go through all this to simply uninstall an app, But as you said if this was on IOS you won't be able to do it.
Because on Android now you can fully empty your phone from all the pre-installed and unremovable application without having to root your device by using the same ADB trick in this video.

It's frustrating, I just disabled the app and also forced it to stop, I hate that they wanted to force us to use the app when I personally rather log in Facebook from the website, the Facebook app privacy policies are ridiculous invasive they want to know all the info you input in your phone even your passwords, I said NOT to the last update and disabled the app since is almost imposible to uninstall it 👍🏼

Awesome, I've suspected not only Facebook's selling third-party info. But also having a backdoor installed. Thanks for helping the layman to remove that crap. Easy peezy.
and if you signed the user agreement and have an account, facebook can also sell your photos. There is huge market for video/pics for youtubers, or content creators, and facebook copyrights our photos and videos and sells them. That's why I'm here, making sure it's all off my phone, I will only use facebook on my office, well it was until covid killed my business, we will call it my other pc.
I also wonder if Samsung has a similar agreement with facebook we sign as well. But that is specuation. Apple is doing their best to protect their customers from Facebooks 9000 page user agreement, but Samsung, which I prefer, does the opposite.

I did have to change the playback speed in the settings on this video because you talked WAY to fast for a tutorial. I simply found the playback speed under settings or the 3 little dots and turned the playback speed to 0.25 and followed your instructions. It was easy. Thank you so much. You're awesome. You might want to remind people, show them how to change the playback speed at the beginning of your videos or just talk a little bit slower. It helps with a tutorial.
