Yes, Japan was bombed in 1945 and my great uncle developed the hydrogen bomb in 1954. "The hydrogen weapon was inevitable. The Russians published the principles of the fission bomb in the late 1930s. The Germans knew of it early in World War II. Simply, its time had come. And I was there for its detonation, hands on, in March 1954." The Long Shadow Of The Bomb

We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. Japan was not going to surrender before the nukes were dropped. They had convinced their population to fight with garden tools when the invasion by the US came. We are still using Purple Heart medals today that were made during WW2 in the anticipation of the losses we would take to invade Japan. The military practiced a concept called Bushido which surrender was not even remotely considered or an option. The Emperor at the time also practiced this. If you look into ancient Japan’s history they had never been conquered and it was unacceptable to surrender under any conditions.

@@typicalrockhound9887 No, I had a revelation, there are universal truths to living a good life, all which Jesus Christ has beat. Love is the most important thing that is in this world, and god is love. The sacrifice of Christ coming down not only the died of the cross to beat death but also living in this tainted world by choice was in its self an act of love. If you ever ask yourself what has this world come to?? Why would anyone even risk the possibility of a nuclear exchange, it’s because love isn’t around anymore, unity, trust and respect aren’t sacred or valued anymore. I was this porn obsessed, lazy man, with no purpose in life, and the Bible opened my eyes to the truth. As if we were living in a matrix, money isn’t the answer to escape the matrix but love and devotion to the truth and Jesus Christ. Seek god as if it were gold you were searching for and believe me you’ll receive the truth and more❤️✝️. God bless you and I hope you become my brethren ✝️❤️

Just tewatched the movie Red Cliff. Very good movie. War is always decided by the few and fought by the many. The scary thing is weapons are far more devastating.

Is he referring to Turning Point: The Bomb and The Cold War on Netflix? If he is there's no way he's watched it if he's saying it's three episodes. That series went in depth so hard.

Some bomb trivia. Little Boy produced a 15 kiloton explosion. The bomb itself used 64 kilograms (141 lbs) of uranium but only 0.6 grams of that actually fissioned to produce the explosion. The rest was vaporized. For comparison, a dollar bill weighs more at 1 gram.

My grandpa was in the Marine Special Service and worked as security detail for the H bomb and A bombs during the 50s. They would leave the men on the ships out in the Pacific as test dummies. They told the soldiers and sailors to sit down and cover their face and eyes when the bombs went off. My grandpa said he could see through his own hands like an x-ray. He died of cancer and so did 70+ men he served with. The govt tried not to give him a military funeral, but my mom found his papers showing which ships he served on. RIP Blake Mayhew Sr.
