Hey all. I found this fix, but for whatever reason my tablet would skip over the recovery mode and just start up again. I did find a method where you plug it in your PC and try the same. It worked for me. Just thought I'd share it here for those in the same pickle I was. Great video though! Straight to the point.
I take it you needed method 3 (on the channel), for newer devices.
What model did you have?

I have Tab 6A and mine also worked only when connected to a computer.

It will not take me to the factory reset screen no matter what I do. It just keeps going back to the Samsung Galaxy screen and turns back on.

Maybe a tad late, but you need to switch to the power+volume up combo as soon as the screen goes black. Count to 10 then swap.

It look like it really worked for some ppl but I think I’m stuck when I used the power an down then up I never got the screen with the words on it it just went back to my hom board again an ask for the pin
thanks for the video, it is really straightforward to do those steps. However, what should i do if i do not know the gmail account credentials that where used to configure the device initially. it seems there is no other option than throwing away the entire hardware? if you have any ideas, please advise.
if you dont have the gmail details or a way to recover them you are pretty stuck and its almost worth selling the device for spare parts

@@rickstechrepairs btw i do not understand how they can design hardware like that, everywhere you can hear about security, but i think there will be more people with my issue, than people whose tablet was stolen. if my tablet was stolen i would immediately change my google password and problem would be solved.

This video is very helpful I have forgot my password so I just reset it but when 8 googled it it was no good so I searched it up on RUclips and I clicked on this

1)Hold Volume Down and Power for 10 sec
2) Then switch to Volume Up and Power for about 10 seconds
3) Release Power keep holding Volume Up
4) Should be inside the menu, use Power as the Ok button and Volume Buttons as the arrow buttons.

How do you get a google account on a factory reset? It ask for it but dosen't let you put in your password. I got mine from a friend. Says wrong password, but I never used it yet. Thanks. 😃

IMPORTANT : Now the Hard Reset process has changed. To reset your Tablet, you need to connect your Tablet to the computer with a cable !
1. Plug the tablet to the computer
2. Then, when the charging sign appears on the screen, press the Power Button & the Volume Up Button, at the same time
3. Follow the instruction of this video.
Your tablet will start the reset, the Samsung Logo will appear for maybe 10 minutes, so don't worry about it, then the installation screen will open. You can use your tablet by entering the e-mail address previously entered on the tablet.

I tried this method on two of my tabs. Successful for one, but unable to reach the factory reset screen *itself on the second one. But what worked for me later was entering incorrect passwords many times in a row. I reckon I did around 10 times in a row, and it showed me a warning that if it's done a couple of times more, all the data will be erased and the system will automatically go into factory reset mode. Voila! It worked for me. It took around 10-15 minutes in total for me. Thanks.

Thanks for the video! My Samsung Galaxy S6 lite suddenly required a 4 number and character password to unlock despite not having a password lock for past few years. I tried this method while connecting to the laptop using USB cable and it worked! It didn’t work without the laptop.
