This isnt working on my 510? Is it because i allready have the device turned on and im at the password screen? It tells me i need the password to turn off or restart the device. When i use the hit the vol up/power it acts as if ive just hit the power screen and lights up every time but cannot get it to the restart area. Any thoughts?
You have a few options. 1) - Assuming you can get in to your tablet there will be an option to switch to guest then you can shut it down. 2) - Hard reboot it with the side buttons and then quickly follow with this video process. 3) - Wait for it to go flat
You must be quick! When you press Power + volume down key for reboot, then comes black screen. Simultan press Power + volume Up for factory reset. If you wait 1 second too much after comes samsung screen, then will not work.

Hold the power button and the volume down until it comes up with the Samsung logo then press down the volume up button instead of volume down while still holding the power button until it comes up with the function screen

I have a question. A friend of mine asked me to reset his tablet, his son already did a factory reset but they can't remember what email or swipe they used while installing the tablet. So i gave it a new factory reset but at some point it says: "There was an unauthorized attempt to set this tablet back to it's factory settings. Mae an internet connection to identify your identity" When clicking through this i have to swipe or use the Google account what was used before ( in the reset before mine). But this part is the problem, anyone knows how to get around this one ?
Skip to 2 minutes for instructions...hold power button & volume up release power button when android logo appears...in the recovery menu...all data gone...won't work if attached to Google account or corporate.....sheesh

I think Samsung account should be removed with a wipe, Google account is a different story

You don't, it would have to be removed from the mdm 1st as it suppresses the reset process

Yes the pin can be removed by reset but not the google account. There is litte you can do about that.

I had to wait until my power drained and the tablet auto shut off. Took like three weeks for me!

You can't bypass a Google FRP lock unfortunately

I forgot my password but can't turn the tablet off without the password. 🤔
Your options are to hard reboot (power and volume down if I remember correctly) then follow this process or wait for it to run out of battery.
Mine turns off but comes right back on. It doesn't factory reset and my son doesn't remember his password.
Yea there isnt a lot I can do about an account lock. I think there is a way to bypass it. Will have a look and see if I can do you a video.
