One quick question, even if there is an emergency, countries eill not give permission to fly over their air space ? You were mentioning about British airways issue in the video as Saudi Arabia did not give permission for British airways.
If this decision was called by Flight Ops. Centre, then all is fine. The Capt. must have got weather report and further forecast for enroute flight path . If the weather was looking turbulent Capt. did it right. If not then, that Capt. must be detailed for repeated training.

I myself and a lot of friends and relatives live in the US. Most of us prefer to fly either one of the Middle Eastern carriers or SQ to arrive at Cochin. The main reason for this is the difficulties with the domestic transfer with all the luggage, and going through immigration and customs at Bombay or Delhi. Are they doing anything make the transfer easier at Bombay or Delhi.
FOR FLIGHTS TO TORONTO FROM DELHI, I checked in Air India Bangalore with luggage delivered at BANGALORE WITH DIRECT TRANSFER AT DELHI.not necessary for passenger to pull out from domestic and again check in for international. But on reverse direction the passenger has to technically do the customs clearance at Delhi though AIR INDIA engages special supervisors to speed up customs clearance and re.check in at DELHI FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS. SINCE PASSENGERS REACHING INDIA ARE FOR DIFFERENT DESTINATIONS( SOME WITH NO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS) ALLOWING MIX UP OF FOREIN TRAVELLERS LUGGAE WITH DOMESTIC PASSENGER LUGGAGE ETC AND FACILITATING CUSTOMS CLEARNCE IS DIFFICULT.

I myself and a lot of friends and relatives live in the US. Most of us prefer to fly either one of the Middle Eastern carriers or SQ to arrive at Cochin. The main reason for this is the difficulties with the domestic transfer with all the luggage, and going through immigration and customs at Bombay or Delhi. Are they doing anything make the transfer easier at Bombay or Delhi.
FOR FLIGHTS TO TORONTO FROM DELHI, I checked in Air India Bangalore with luggage delivered at BANGALORE WITH DIRECT TRANSFER AT DELHI.not necessary for passenger to pull out from domestic and again check in for international.
But on reverse direction the passenger has to technically do the customs clearance at Delhi though AIR INDIA engages special supervisors to speed up customs clearance and re.check in at DELHI FOR DOMESTIC FLIGHTS.
SINCE PASSENGERS REACHING INDIA ARE FOR DIFFERENT DESTINATIONS( SOME WITH NO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORTS) ALLOWING MIX UP OF FOREIN TRAVELLERS LUGGAE WITH DOMESTIC PASSENGER LUGGAGE ETC AND FACILITATING CUSTOMS CLEARNCE IS DIFFICULT.
@@krvnaick2022 Domestic transfer in the US is very simple. You just hand over the checked luggage at Recheck counters just outside Customs. This way, one doesn’t have to carry your entire luggage to domestic terminal to catch the connecting domestic flight.

( Out bound passengers get that benefit in some cases.)
