Nichelle Nichols was gorgeous. White boys adored her, I assure you, and I am one.
Of all the characters on Star Trek, she is the one who most changed the world. Her
role as one of the core characters on the "Bridge", who was both beautiful and highly
intelligent, absolutely destroyed the stereotype of black actors and actresses. Her
influence was so important on that show, that it could never be measured. I adore her.

Leonard Nimoy was the name of the actor that played Spock--not Leonard Dumb (0.23)!
At 7:23 Nichelle Nichols is noted as a "he". She was also one of the main cast members,
so why is she listed at the end of your presentation (7:20)? Also what in the world is
"African American sexuality? Do you have a fetish? What were you trying to imply?

They did Uhura/Nichelle Very Wrong in this video.
She was very much a part of the main cast. How does she end up next to last, while one off characters like a 13 year old kid with no lines is featured further up the line or a security officer that lasted half an episode.
And surely they could have found a far better stand alone picture of her from the series (like other characters) than the still they used. She has more class than that.

@@sincerelyimodel Well....I don't know if I would call it racism on the part of the video maker,
but I don't know what else to call it, and it is upsetting to me. She was one of the core
characters, even all the way through the movies later, indispensable. If you look at the
Bridge where everyone was located, it was Spock to the left, Uhura to the right, Captain
Kirk in the middle, Chekov left front, and Sulu right front. The others were, of course,
Scotty and Dr McCoy, who were not members of the Bridge crew.

I am actually a great fan of Star Trek I was actually born in December 1966. Elaan she looks like an ancient Egyptian person. The actress Barbara Luna is actually played in 2 episodes of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century in 1981 as Corey. Who's actually half human half bird woman (hawk). Her husband Hawk and Buck Rogers were trying to fight to the death. Until Hawk claw landing gear impaled her and she eventually dies with Hawk was actually crying for her.

Yeah her and Nichelle both had intimate relationships with Rodenberry. He would have married Nichelle but it was the '60's--you know... Majel was the one who did not include her in the Star Trek reunion celebration years after his death. Revenge I guess.

It's Walter Koenig, not Walter Marvin. Marvin is his middle name. And it's Eddie Paskey, not Pasquie. Just an FYI... 🙂
As for Nichelle Nichols, what can you say? She played her role well, was lovely, and she helped to break down barriers for other black actors and actresses. I thought she was gorgeous then, and she's aged most gracefully. I've loved all the various Trek series, some more than others, but TOS started it all and it's stayed with me all these years, helping me become a writer of sci-fi and fantasy. Long live Star Trek!
