In the serene and distant Eastern Pure Land, as luminous and flawless as pure lapis lazuli, seven compassionate Buddhas radiate boundless light, guiding and protecting all sentient beings. Their vows, profound and far-reaching, resemble gentle spring rain-nourishing and embracing even the most lost and suffering souls.
These seven Buddhas-Shan Ming Cheng Ji Xiang Wang Rulai, Bao Yue Zhi Yan Guang Yin Zizai Wang Rulai, Jin Se Bao Guang Miao Xing Cheng Jiu Rulai, Wu You Zui Sheng Ji Xiang Rulai, Fa Hai Lei Yin Rulai, Fa Hai Sheng Hui You Xi Shen Tong Rulai, and Yaoshi Liuli Guang Rulai-each made great vows to liberate beings from illness, poverty, suffering, ignorance, and despair. Their sacred names shine like the first light of dawn, dissolving the darkness of afflictions and illuminating the path to wisdom and peace.
According to the "Sutra of the Seven Medicine Buddhas and Their Original Vows and Merits", those who sincerely hear and recite these names can purify their karma, dispel obstacles, extend their lifespan, and ultimately be reborn in a pure Buddha realm. As we walk the weary path of this world, these sacred names drift like a gentle breeze, like moonlight upon still waters, like an eternal lighthouse in the distance. The Benefits of Chanting the Seven Medicine Buddhas' Names
