His numbers are off when he talks about "Nationwide" NY reading proficiency is not 19% like in Texas, is 63% , California is 30% , other states are even higher. But education is very bad in Texas I had my kids in many schools around the country, I can say that Texas is one of the worst (no matter what ISD) under budget, tremendous bullying problems, teachers are very limited with stupid laws, very political, no critical thinking lessons (kids can't develop common sense) lack of free programs and equality programs for every kid. Also no meals for kids from struggle families, I have a long list, we moved out of Texas Bec of the schools and Like us many other families we knew, mostly from Europe.
