My heart goes out to you and Dumpling ❤ My cat has the same condition, except all his blockages occurred within the span of a month so surgery was on the table much more quickly. My partner and I had to start a go fund me and we were so scared for our little guy but it was so worth it !! I have so much empathy for the fear, frustration, sorrow and pain of going through repeat blockages and ER visits. You both are troopers!

It might be worth looking into pet insurance, even if it only cuts part of the cost that way even though it does still cost money but may be less large bursts of money. I am not self employed I'm lucky enough my company offers pet insurance because my girl cat, Saga, has severe allergies and neurological issues and I'd be up the you-know-what creek w/o it

Try not to change too many things all at once. Gradually introduce, change, remove them. Someone here mentioned pet insurance, which is great for new illnesses outside of this urinary issue. It’ll help you in the long run. Unfortunately, insurance companies will not cover pre-existing conditions.
I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Cats with a history of urinary blockages will typically have it happen again. There are ways to prevent it but sometimes it’s inevitable. I’m so sorry this is happening 😔 Keep working closely with your veterinarian and good luck 🩵
