Nice one! Actually my mk7R running custom stage 2 ecu/tcu 98Ron FBO ran 11.7 @117 full weight on street tires, so i was curious to see this. It’s amazing the mk8 is pulling these numbers with just software. Hope you get yours up there soon
Yeah, first time I’ve heard coil packs as a upgrade Recommendation 😅 and I just flashed stage two today with the downpipe and yes, there’s definitely a difference
3.3 0 to 60 was done by Car and driver in the RS3! I've also seen it as low as 3.1 from another source on a bone stock car! Pretty darn close though for sure.
Amazing, that is smoking fast!!! I sort of wish I bought the Golf R rather than the Honda Type R, but then again, I'm in love with a manual shift and the Golf R manual is dumbed down quite a bit, plus no longer available in 25, plus I don't like wrenching on cars all that much any more .... oh well!
Racingline makes a great lowering spring for these cars. Maintain stock feel, but get stiffer under load or spirited driving when the springs are compressed more. They give it just the right amount of lower, and work with DCC
Can anyone explain to me what’s the point of installing an intake filter inside the actual Closed oem filter box. Not even more open space for air goes in … thanks
Pretty sure I saw him when I was getting errands done today in the SW part of town! Lowered and spacers is the way to go. Love the OEM plus look. And black on these cars makes it look more expensive imo
The thing goes like a banshee with those mods, and I expect my new RS3 to be a beast with this same or similar setup! I bet you're dying to mod your ride now lol?
Did he have a stage 2 034 TCU tune or just the basic stage 1 034 TCU tune? I'm guessing it's the basic stage 1 because his times IMO should be 0.3 seconds quicker.
Any idea how much HP and Torque his car puts out with the E85 tune? Also, what was the cost for total modification, and who did it for him? Those were some real good numbers.
@@JVette01 That sounds right since 0-60 and 1/4 mile times are faster than an RS3. Maybe I will do that to my R. Any idea what the total cost for the mods were and who performed the mods?
I'm thinking of going stage 1 APR Low Torque in my 2024 Golf R once I hit 5K miles on her. For now I'm just doing suspension mods, tinted the windows, put in a subwoofer, gloss black mirror caps... I eventually will do the intercooler, and CAI, Turbo Muffler Delete, and Inlet and get the Stage 2 High TQ tune... see how long it takes me to roast the stock clutch.
I'm about to install the racingline springs on my 2024 Golf R. They give it a decent drop and maintain normal driving feel, but get stiffer under spirited driving under load. They work with the DCC also
@@du3lcitiz3n Nice! I’ve been looking at the H&R springs for mine. I like that they come with their own bump stops instead of using the existing ones like you have to do with racingline. Let me know how you like them when you get them installed.
A stage 2 mk8 golf r dsg on e85 can do a 10.9 at 125mph. Stage 1 setup e85 mid to low 11's around 120 mph . So run from the video looks about right . He Needs a dogbone/ subframe mount . To help wheel hop. . Also full intake .
A TIP paired with an upgraded Turbo inlet hose has been proven to be just as good as a full intake setup for a fraction of the price. Especially in keeping IAT’s lowered during longer sessions in closed airbox setups. You don’t really get wheel hop on R’s, Usually more prominent on GTI’s.
Great work, do you know what your build date is? Mine is week one of March 2022 & don’t believe I can DSG tune mine yet. Have the same intercooler & also had my steering wheel replaced, I’ll be adding a DP next month & going stage 2 low torque with Racingline. 👌
That’s what I thought, confused me as the video stated early 2022. I have the ECU low torque done, can’t wait to go high torque once the DSG is available. 👌

Damn that thing is fast af, this should be a good match for the m2. Will be very close, you absolutely need this tune on your golf
I wish I could 😭 no tcu tune. Race with the m2 next video ;)
Great vid that thang moves
I know right, 3.3 to 60 in a golf, madness
E85 tune is crazy. APR & EQT states stock DP is already G2G for S2. Just need and IC and intake. I'd recommend better coil packs
This car has a IEv2 IC. Stock coilpacks have been fine for 10 years now on these motors. Don't waste your money.

@@Funkd_MQB nice! Just upgraded to EQTs stage 1 91 octane high torque tune. With the APR intake, it's good for around 380 whp. Let's goooo!

Very nice!
This is why i got a 6 speed.
My mk8 is currently stage 2 with unitronic flexfuel. So fun as my daily
Great 1/4time for stage 1 OTS tune. Now the 8R is much faster then new RS3 or a45s
Yes I would love to see it race a stock 8y rs3. I’m like 90% sure the golf would win

I already did. Just can’t tune the tcu so I can’t be this fast :(
Fingers crossed for that TCU tune soon. I've been waiting a year for it.

He would be a good run against my pmax mk8 on 91 on a roll of course haha
Or PMAX on E85 💪🏼

God damn man. That’s nuts for few little mods. We are really punished with a locked TCU. What was the DA? Had to be over 2,000 due to high elevation?
Yeah like 2500 elevation and DA
@@JVette01 Awesome. Thank you. My guess was 2,300 so in a low DA that would be like a 11.3 at 121-122 plus mph. Pretty crazy wow

I know before I watch the other video it’s going to be close by that 1/4 mile time

I have a question. Is E85 compliance valid for vehicles sold in Europe?
Not sure. I’d suggest doing a google search and looking into that
