- Radar Mast Radar Boring Holes For The Connecting Wire Tubes
I set up the two components that need to have matched wire ports to feed the wire for all the accessories we are going to be adding to this project. Setting up and holding odd shapes is a challenge at times but differ ways can be applied and used like what I demonstrate in this video.
Thought of the day… “Made in China” is a warning label….
Life is good! Cheers, Keith

“Sharpum” I really like that one!😂
No school like the old school, I appreciate the education, enthusiasm and entertainment.
In the past "I have lost some" using clamps. If you do enough you will "lose some" no matter what clamping system you use. If anyone says different then he she isn't telling the truth. That part reminds me of my days in the aerospace business. Looks just like a tail section I used to build for small Cessna aircraft. Keith Fenner the best "set up man" on youtube...
Very time-consuming but looking great as usual with your professionalism
a lotta mental geometry going on there madman. Very nice,... real nice work.
the hardest part of welding aluminum like this
is getting into a position that is comfortable ....
my old bones creak and moan......
cheers.....Paul
Amazing American ingenuity!
Excellent execution and planning. Very sleek. Thanks for sharing.
Neat tip with the square to find centre 😊
Enjoyed Keith….awesome build, great discussion/demonstration/video production
I could never figure out why Boat stuff has to have that "Go Fast" look stuff on them LOL...
Thanks Keith...
At least it won't be polished! LOL
That's really cool, Keith.
Can't wait to see the rest of it.
@KeithFenner, If I had a professional welding table, I would not need the floor of my workshop 😆
LOL right!
What would you stand on?
hey Keith, the Synchrosauras 250 does it magic again......I love mine
cheers from Orlando, Paul
professionnally done as usual
excellent video
Getting-er Done the Fenner way!
Beautiful job Keith. That is a difficult piece to build
Mr Keith: what great sounds coming from the tubing while welding with AC Square Wave.....
next time put a wireless mic in the other end and record some Australian Aboriginal DiggeryDoo
music......I work a lot with square aluminum tubing, and when drilling 1 inch holes through
the walls.....if you look down the inside of the tube, it is like a kaleidoscope.....as the extruded
interior has a mirror finish.....great stuff here Sir......PB
Thanks Keith for teaching us so much!
Nicely done Keith thanks for the video
That's looking really good!
Just realized the old multihead drill press table didnt make the move to the new shop? No room I guess. Would of been a nice size to use to bolt down those cross pieces to help with the twist when welding maybe? Project is looking nice.
I still have it and it is in the shop in other location...
very good job mr fenner
How does it go!? If you can step across it, you can WELD across it!
Thanks for sharing 👍
Great Job!
Nice job thanks for sharing
Hi Keith,
I am sure you could do with one of Jason from Fireball Tools humungus welding tables! 😂
And the little twist you have in that mast is negligible, and you still have a pile of welding to do in installing the external sheeting which will continue to change things until it is finished.
In bought a small welding table a few years back, nothing flash, but doing multiple parts and making everything exactly the same has more than paid for it multi times over, and letting it cool after welding keeps everything square and flat.
Have you any idea of what it will weigh when finished? and is the 1/4" plate at the base the sole mounting point?
It would look brilliant if you had a formed cap for the top.
Regards Dennis.
No, the bottom plate is going to join a 5/16" larger footprint with 1/8" crown over 24".
I have no idea what the finished weight will be, but I can hang it from my scale.
I will be regaining my large steel assembly table, which does well for the average projects that hit my shop.
Cheers Keith
Sooo, do any of you followers know if Kieth ever got the power company to finish installing the 3 phase power?
The bitter ends of the 3phase are all made up, and eversource has it scheduled sometime coming up....LOL
It has been a while with multiple reasons and excuses, but I have not missed a beat!
Olá amigo Keith!!!
Trabalho bastante minucioso!!!Ficou perfeito!!!
Lhe desejo sempre muita saúde e cada vez mais sucesso!!!
Abraço
Looks wonderful. I ether miss it or forgot (most likely the latter). Are you going to polish or paint or powder coat the mast? Not sure of the common way of finishing. I don’t own a large ship. Lol
The customer is going to paint it, depends on any use of fairing materials used or paint as is for the two choices he has planned ot, I will know in the end....
@@KeithFenner Cool, thanks
⭐🙂👍
Are you going to use store bought rubber grommets or make your own out of something like delrin since some of the holes are oval?
these holes are just the inner passage way....

Who else can build this mast ? Greetings from Germany.
Looking good, but it'll never fly.
Lookin good! Thanks for your time and skills.
