    I use the discontinued beast 100 and I'm considering this as a backup racquet. How does the twistpower compare to the ezone 100? I'd generally prefer 16x19 over 16x18. I'm a 4.0 player and hit with a lot of topspin, currently working on flattening out my shots

    • @tenniswarehouse

      Asking playtester Tiffany, who tested both the Twistpower X100 and EZONE 100, she said that the X100 felt a bit more lively, or slightly more energy return, and the EZONE 100 feels slightly more controlled. There is a slight difference in the string pattern, but the string spacing is pretty similar. The X100 is lighter and more maneuverable, and the X100 Tour is the same weight as the EZONE 100, but the X100 Tour feels slightly heavier to swing, likely due to a higher swingweight. Also, both Tiffany and I agreed that, if you want the closest thing to the Beast 100, the Prince Textreme Warrior 100 is the way to go, and for a great value. Troy, TW

    Troy - I have the original x100. With an overgrip, vibration dampener and some lead tape in the throat, it's already 10g heavier so I assume there is no need for me to upgrade to the tour version?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  2 года назад

      If you like your racquet the way it is setup, then I would say stick with it. But if you think you might prefer trying the Tour, once you add an overgrip and dampener it will be a bit heavier, it could be worth a demo. Also, some like the glossy finish to the paint on the head of the racquet, on the X100 Tour. Troy, TW

    How would you compare it to Prince Textreme Tour 310

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  2 года назад +1

      This one provides a bit easier access to power, having a slightly thicker beam in the hoop. The Tour 100 310 offers slightly more control. Comfort, and spin is pretty close between the two. Troy, TW

    How will you string this racket because it is a bit stiff? Low tension poly or higher tension hybrid poly-multi?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  11 месяцев назад +1

      If you use a firmer poly you could try dropping tension a bit, or go with a softer feeling poly, like a Volkl Cyclone Tour, Solinco Hyper-G Soft, or Yonex Poly Tour Air. If you don't tend to break your strings often, then a hybrid is a great option as well, there is pre-packed like Wilson Duo Power or Duo Feel, and then there are a ton of mix and match options for building your own. How does it compare to the Pure Aero and VCore 100?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  2 года назад +2

      They are all pretty similar in that there is easy power, spin, and maneuverability. The Pure Aero is probably the most spin friendly, and the VCORE 100 maybe the most power, although it is very small differences. This TwistPower X100 Tour offers a bit more of a controlled feel, and feels a bit more solid on contact. The TwistPower X100 Tour and VCORE 100 are pretty close in comfort, and a bit better than the Pure Aero in that sense. Spin is also good with the X100 Tour, but maybe not quite as much as the Pure Aero, but better control and feel on flatter shots. -Troy, TW

      Hi guys really thank you for the review.
      Just trying to clarify the last thing before demoing.
      All of you mention that is easy power from the racquet.
      But in the website is saying Low to medium level.
      Could you please describe a bit more. Perhaps comparing with the pure aero.
      Thank you guys

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  2 года назад +3

      So the power level in the product description, is based open a feeling or perceived rating, and also takes into account all of the racquets that we sell. So we recommend taking that with a grain of salt, but also know that we are rating them from the lowest powered frames, like for example the Prince Phantom 93P all the way to the biggest headsizes, like a Gamma RZR Bubba 137 or Prince Premier 120, which provide very easy power or energy return. So for our group of testers, racquets like the Pure Aero or X100 Tour provide easy power, but also we very seldom test racquets larger than a 100 headsize. Most of our playtesting is for racquets between like 95-100 headsize, and usually like 290 gram to about 340 grams for an unstrung weight. Hopefully that helps somewhat. Troy, TW

    Troy / chris any modifications you would make to this one? Lead at 3 and 9 and putty in handle or lead on handle to get up specs?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  2 года назад

      Based on its stock specs, I would probably customize a little bit initially, just to see how it performs, and then adjust based on the on-court feel. I typically like my swingweight somewhere close to 330, so maybe just a bit of weight near 3/9 or 2/10 o'clock, and from there maybe a bit of tail-weight. That said, if I were going to choose a Twistpower racquet to play with, I'm definitely going with the X97 Tour, which is my favorite in the line. Although, I understand that some players prefer the 100 headsize for some added forgiveness. Troy, TW

      We haven't tried to customize those racquets, so hard to say for certain how they would play with some added weight. They are designed for easy use, and to be pretty comfortable, so just depends on what you like in a racquet. Troy, TW

    How's this one compared to the Textreme Beast 100 solid beam?

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  2 года назад +1

      Specs are pretty close, and overall power/control is fairly similar, however the feel is the main difference. We find this Twistpower X100 Tour to feel a bit more solid on contact, and it also has a nice pop to it, where it feels like the ball leaves the racquet with some added zip on it. Playtester Jason was a fan of the Beast 100, and he has recently switched to this X100 Tour, as he really enjoys the feel of the racquet, and overall thinks it is an improvement. Troy, TW

    Hi TW! How does this compare to pure aero vs? Is this raquet arm friendly? (my biggest concern really). Which other similar raquet's do you recommend?
    Thx!

    • @tenniswarehouse
      @tenniswarehouse  2 года назад +1

      With the 100 headsize on this one, it provides a bit easier power and slightly bigger sweet-spot compared to the Pure Aero VS. We also would give the edge in comfort to this Twistpower X100 Tour, the difference in the stiffness rating is minimal, but the feel on contact is more plush feeling compared to the Aero VS. We found the plush feel and play-ability of this Twistpower X100 Tour to be fairly comparable to the Yonex EZONE 100 2022, which is also pretty comfortable. Troy, TW

      This one provides easier access to power, and is stiffer (although comfort is pretty good for the stiffness rating). The Phantom 100X 305 is lower powered, with that lower flex, which gives it a softer feel, more control, and more comfort. Troy, TW
