SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW (for Jeff)

I've been listening to quite a bit of Jeff Beck lately. I got to see him twice, once with Beck, Bogart and Appice and once with Stevie Ray. There was no one quite like him.

I’ve been listening to quite a bit of Jeff Beck since he passed, and I’m finding quite a few recordings I’ve never heard. He was an amazing guitar player, and I was fortunate enough to see him in concert twice. Let me know what your favorite recordings are!

Beautiful, Dave. I saw Jeff only once during the ARMS concerts in 1983(?) It was great seeing all those musicians but Jeff came out and everything else paled. It was like he was from the future.

Nice tribute Dave, and beautifully played. I know that I’m dating myself but I remember seeing The Jeff Beck Group at the Fillmore East in NYC back in the early 70’s. That was back when the band included Rod Stewart on vocals and Ron Wood on bass(Mickey Waller was on drums). Of course, they were great. Of course, at the time there was no way that I could’ve had the appreciation that I have now looking back.

Thanks! I loved that band and wish I could have seen them. Oddly enough, I did see the Faces with Rod Stewart and Ron Wood just after they had left Jeff Beck. Awesome concert as well.
